IT HAD BEEN SIX MONTHS SINCE THE TRAGIC SUICIDE OF HANNAH BAKER. Her death sweeping the town. In the matter of days, Hannah and the whole Baker Family were on the headline. Today, the Bakers were going on trial for justice for their daughter and beloved sibling. While Kara was also returning to Liberty High, which had been the beginning of the end for Hannah. If her adopted parents wouldn't have moved here, Hannah would've still been alive. Kara heard the incessant ringing of her alarm that snapped her out of her thoughtful sleep. She mentally groaned as she swung her hand over her alarm clock. She swung her legs to the edge of the bed and rubbed her eyes groggily. She trudged over to her window and spread out the curtains. Today was the first day of hell. Kara was determined to expose the true colors of the school. Kara's eyes trailed over to her nightstand which was a framed picture of her family. She softly smiled before she picked it up. "I miss you Han." She whispered. "So fucking much." A tear escaped onto her cheek, she quickly wiped it away and set the picture down.

She walked over to her closet and grabbed an outfit. She grabbed one of her old band t-shirts and a paired of ripped jeans. She laced up her black combat boots before a black leather jacket hugged her shoulders. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and walked to the kitchen where her mother was quietly making breakfast. Kara's eyes flickered to the two empty seats. One seat was for her father that left, and one was for Hannah. She softly sighed before sitting down in her own seat.

"Hey sweetie." Her mother quietly greets with a plate of pancakes in hand. It was Kara and Hannah's favorite. Kara knew that her mother still wasn't over her death, Kara as well.

Today was also the day of the trial. "You can come to the trial and watch if you would like. I talked to the school about it." Her mum spoke up.

"Who's speaking today?" Kara asked as she stuffed pancakes into her mouth.

"This kid named Tyler Down, I believe." She replied as she sat down in front of her. Kara knew Tyler Down, she felt sorry for him.

"I might come and watch, what time again? Emphasis on might."

"Trial starts at twelve." Kara nodded, she doubt she would be watching that one. Kara finished her breakfast before she climbed inside of her car and drove to Liberty High. Once she got there, she inhaled sharply, mentally preparing herself for what hell was going down today. She parked her car and walked into the school. Once, she entered the hallways every pair of eyes turned towards her, she clutched her backpack straps as she ignored the gazes and murmuring of her. She walked towards her locker and entered her combination. She furrowed her eyebrows to see a note in her empty locker. She unfolded the note.
