KARA STOOD IN FRONT OF HER MIRROR, BRUISES AND CUTS SCATTERED IN VARIOUS PLACES ON HER BODY.

She lifted her crop top slightly, revealing her stomach that were covered in the most bruises. She snarled in disgust that actually human beings did this to her. Her fingers dug into her palm as she thought about the incident. She softly touched her stomach lightly, wincing in the process. She sighed heavily before dropping the crop top. She looked at herself once again. Kara wore a white crop top that showed parts of her stomach with light washed high-waist jeans to go with it. Today Kara was not going to wear any makeup. Kara was done hiding her scars, she was going to embrace them and show the true colors of Liberty High.

She nodded to herself before slinging her backpack over her shoulder. She arrived at Liberty High. Everyone started at her attire and the scars that she showed. Everyone tried their best not to look but Kara simply did not care. She arrived at her locker and started to open it. "What the hell?" Jessica Davis' voice came from her side. "Kara Renee Baker."

"Hey Jessica." She drawls out.

"What the hell happened to you?"

"Just the usual. The assholes that think they run this school." Kara gestured to the basketball jocks who crowded around Bryce's locker.

"Say the word and I'll end their life." Jessica threatens. Kara laughs softly before shaking her head.

"I love you Jess, but I'm fine." Kara reassured. "With this, I'm showing the true colors of this school. They do this to anyone who is a risk of exposing the truth about this school."

"And that's why you're my best friend in my whole world." Jessica brags before giving you a light hug. Jessica then walks to her first period class while you opened up your locker. Another note fell. Kara exhales sharply before unfolding it. She gasped softly as she saw a perfect shot of her straddling Monty while her hand was in the air, ready to punch. She wasn't going to lie, it was a good picture and she was proud of it.

Wouldn't want this to slip out to the police? Keep your mouth shut, bitch. Or you'll regret it.

Kara snarled at this before she stormed over to the photography room where Tyler Down hung out. "What the hell is this, Downs?" Kara spat as she showed the picture.

Tyler looked in confusion. "W-W-What?" Tyler stuttered.

Kara sighed sharply before calming down. "You took this picture."

"Let me see." Tyler muttered before snatching the picture out of Kara's hands. He furrowed his eyebrows and laughed softly. "That is definitely not my work. The lighting is trash and the angle is all wrong."

"Then who took the picture?" Kara mumbled angrily before storming off.

. . .

The lunch lady looked at Kara in disgust as she plopped the slop onto her lunch tray. Kara sighed softly as she found a seat next to Jessica who was sitting next to Nina. Kara had no relation with Nina. All of a sudden, gasps were heard. Every pair of eyes turned to the entrance of the lunchroom. Kara's eyes connected with Justin's. Jessica gulped loudly before Justin with Clay and Tony walking towards them. "Hey Jess." He greets softly. "I missed you." He admits.

"Can we go somewhere else to talk alone?" Justin asks.

Jessica slowly stands up and faces Justin. "No." She declines.

"I-I came back for you." Justin admitted softly as glassy tears started to form in his light blue eyes. "It's the only reason why I'm here. If you want me to stay, I promise you I'm here for good. Look, if you want me to go, I'll go. Forever this time." Jessica's face hardened while she folded her arms. Kara sighed softly, her heart aching for two of her best friends. "You said that before."

"I tried to go away." Justin confesses while his voice cracking. "I tried to forget about you. I tried so fucking hard. But I can't stop thinking about you."

"Yeah. I think about you too. And I wish you were dead." Jessica spat with venom, clearly still pained from the experience she faced.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you more." Justin said softly before he falls to the floor. "Justin!"

With that, Kara was done of being quiet. She stood up and stood on top of the lunch tables. "Look at this Liberty High. This is what you do." She spoke up loudly, drawing everyone's attention towards her. "Justin Foley was an asshole, I can admit that. But he loved one person truly. That was Jessica Davis."

"What are you doing, Kara?" Jessica hissed softly.

Kara mouthed an apology before starting her rant.

"That all changed in one night. Thanks to a certain baseball player who goes by the name of Bryce Walker. You may all know him for his athletic and social status here at Liberty High. But Bryce is merely a rapist. Yeah, you heard it. You heard the truth. Bryce is a rapist. I have no shame telling you that Bryce raped my sister, Hannah Baker. Because Liberty High, you need to know the truth about this school. That was only one of the reasons that drove my sister to slit her wrists in the bathtub. And this is what happens when you threaten to spill their secrets." With that, Kara lifted the crop top even higher to show a bigger bruise forming. Everyone gasped softly.

"Sit down, Baker!" Monty yelled as he got out of his seat, walking towards Kara.

"Not so fast, Cruz." A familiar voice popped into the conversation. Kara looked to see Scott grasping Monty's wrists. Monty groans before ripping his wrist out of Scott's grasp.

"Marcus lied on his trial. Shocker, our class president is a liar. When I confronted him, he said some very nasty words causing my anger to boil over. I punched him. And it felt good. But later that day, Marcus and Monty met me at the cemetery. And beat me up." She chuckled softly. "They'll do anything to get what they want. Welcome to Liberty High. Full of rapists and liars. Be careful who you trust." Kara spat out with venom as she stepped off the table. Jessica had no words to describe how she was feeling. Kara only started to walk towards the exit until Monty and Marcus stopped her.

With that, Scott lightly tapped Kara behind her. "I thought that picture would shut your little bitch mouth." Monty said with a harsh chuckle.

"Don't call her a bitch." Scott mumbled angrily.

"What? Is she your new fuck buddy?" Monty spats. Kara noticed that Scott was digging his nails into his palm. All of a sudden, Scott lunged for Monty

And that's where everything went to hell.
