AND THAT'S WHERE EVERYTHING WENT TO HELL.

Scott lunged for Monty, his arm hooked around his waist successfully pinning him to the cafeteria floor. A grunt escaped Monty's lips as his back collided to the ground. Everyone in the lunch room was either crowded around the unconscious Justin or the brawl between Reed and Cruz. Kara just stepped back slightly in horror at what this school had become. Scott's fist hung in the air, Kara ran over to catch his fist before it collided. With that, Scott whipped his head and stared at Kara incredulously. Kara only wanted to expose the truth of this school, not burn it to the ground. Monty roughly pushed Scott off of him, scrambling to stand up. Scott stood up too, his chest heaving up and down in frustration. "What is your problem, Reed?" Montgomery spat as he took threatening steps towards Scott. Kara stepped in between them.

"Scott, look at me."

His cold icy eyes were glued onto Monty's. "Look at me please." Kara's voice cracked as her soft hand cradled Scott's cheek. Her thumb caressed it softly causing his beautiful cerulean eyes to drop to her soft chocolate pair.

"Don't let them win." Kara whispers. "Don't stoop to their level."

Scott mumbled incoherent words before he stepped back and rose his hands in surrender. Scott was about to leave when Monty made a whipping sound. "That's it." That's when Scott threw the punch at Monty. "There he is!" Monty guffawed. "Hit me again. I dare you."

"Don't mind if I do." With that, Scott thew another punch. Monty's head snapped back, causing him to stumble. Kara attempted to calm Scott down once again. Unfortunately that didn't work. Scott continued to punch until Monty was shriveled on the ground. Kara couldn't stand to watch it anymore, she'd been in Monty's position before and it wasn't fun. Kara grabbed Scott's wrist, pulling him back. Scott stopped and inspected his fist, Monty's fresh blood was coated on it. "What is going on here!" Principal Bolan broke his way into the middle of the circle with Mr. Porter trailing behind him.

"You three in my office! NOW!" Principal Bolan demanded. His eyes burning with anger and disappoint. "Everyone to class!"

The circle slowly dispersed, leaving the three of them under Bolan's death stare. Kara, Scott and Monty slowly walked to the principal offices where Bolan only stared at them. The secretary came in with an ice pack and gave it to the two boys who sat on Kara's both sides. Principal Bolan shook his head before he spoke up. "What were you three thinking?"

Before any of them could speak, Bolan answered. "Nothing. Justin Foley, a fellow student and maybe a friend of yours, was passed out on the lunchroom while you two had a fist fight? Kara, I know that you have lost your-"

"Stop." Kara sneered. "You don't have a right to say my sister's name. You let her die. One of your faculty let a potential suicidal student walk out. You know how heart crushing it is when you find your sister in your bath tub with her wrists slit. And I had no idea she would do this. Until I heard all the stories that people from Liberty High did to her." Kara's voice was laced with grief and venom.

Principal Bolan only cleared his throat and diverted from the topic. "Reed, Cruz and Baker, I'm suspending you for at least a school week."

With that, Bolan gestured them out with the flick of his hand. Kara grabbed her backpack and slung it over her shoulder, storming out of the office. She was already out the door and walking towards her car. "Kara! Wait, I'm sorry."

She paused her walking before she slowly turned to Scott. "What? I didn't want this, I could care less about what people say about me. But what people do have an influence on other people. Actions speak louder than words, ever heard of that expression Scott?" She sighed heavily before her gaze drops to the ground. "I've been in that position before where someone is punching me continuously. It's not fun. Monty has a story that made him this way, everyone does. And some people need a wake up call. But I never intended anyone to get hurt."

"Me either." Scott spoke up. "I couldn't let Monty say-"

"But I wanted you to drop it." Kara said softly.

"I can't do this anymore, Scott." Kara gestured between the two of them.

"I just need time."
