Beep... Beep... Beep...
The gentle beeping was what woke him up. His eyes slowly fluttered open, and at first everything looked blurry, and more or less floated together in a weird array of pale colours. But his vision soon cleared up. He felt incredibly groggy and out of it, as he took in his surroundings.
He was laying on a soft bed with a thin white and blue spotted sheet covering his body, save from his arms. The room was not the biggest, but it wouldn't be right to describe it as small either. The walls were pale and had a yellowish tint to them, and on one of the walls there was a window, showing the outside world. The sun hadn't quite came out yet, so he assumed it was morning. The sky was a mixture of orange, red and yellow, and it reminded him of a mango for some reason.
Besides him there was a table with nothing much on it. There was also a machine nearby which was monitoring his heartbeat. He guessed that was what woke him up. He then noticed how there were tubes connected to his arms and nose. He wondered what they were for. The arm that had snapped before was now wrapped in thick plaster, and he noticed how he couldn't really move his hand.
On a chair by the window there was some clothes neatly folded, and he immediately recognised them as the ones that he'd been wearing. Just without the bloodstains and dust. He could hear voices and footsteps from outside the door, probably leading out into the corridor. He wondered what kind of place this was. It seemed oddly familiar in a way, but at the same time not.
The door then opened, and a rather young woman stepped into the room. She seemed to perk up a bit seeing him awake, and she smiled softly at him. She wore a white dress and apron, on a pocket on her chest there was a red cross. She had blond hair up in a ponytail and bright eyes.
"Ah! You're awake! Good!" She exclaimed happily, walking towards him after closing the door. She took another chair from one of the corners of the room and sat down besides him. He now noticed that she had a notepad with her, along with a pen. He gave her a puzzled look.
"We're just gonna go through some questions, okay?"
When she didn't get an answer, she just took that as a yes and continued "Whats your name?"
"... M... Micke..." He answered shyly, his voice low and almost a whisper. The nurse nodded, writing it down.
"And last name?"
He just shook his head, unsure of what to say. He glanced up at her nervously, almost as if he'd expect her to get mad. She just looked at him for a moment, before nodding and just going "Alright, lets move on."
"Age?"
This time he instead raised his hand and signed it.
5... 10... 15... 20.
The nurse nodded and wrote it down, moving on to "Where do you live-"
Before she could even finish it, the door slammed open and a man entered the room, loudly yelling "YOU'RE AWAKE!"
Now both Micke and the nurse was staring up at the stranger, both equally as confused as to what was happening. The nurse gave the man an annoyed look, but he didn't really seem to care at all as he just walked closer, a big stupid smile across his face. The blonde woman then stood up, dusting herself off a bit and turning to Micke.
"Well, I suppose we can continue this later." She smiled, before turning around to exit the room again, but not before mumbling something to the man as she walked past. Micke couldn't really snap up what she said, but it didn't seem to bother the man at all anyway.
So now he had taken the nurses spot in the chair besides the bed. He still had a smile on his face, but he seemed to have calmed down just a bit now. He sighed, just looking at the brunette for a moment before saying anything at all.
