The kitchen was small, and there wasn't much room to move around freely, especially if you were several people. But it was comfortably tiny, and had a certain charm to it. The window above the table revealed a small park surrounded by apartments, a few trees here and there and bushes spread about. It was a nice area to live in.

Haley put down two cups on the table, and poured up some hot coffee for them both before finally sitting down. He had no idea what this "coffee" was, as he had never had it before. But it smelt pretty good he thought. The ginger woman took her cup and raised it to her mouth, taking a sip of the still hot beverage. So naturally, Micke decided to do the same. He couldn't just say he'd never had it, right? It would probably weird.

The moment he had taken a sip he felt two sensations; his tongue burning and the all too bitter taste. He started coughing, putting down the cup again as he forced to swallow. Well, now it felt like his throat was on fire. Haley laughed softly, but then gently grabbed his hand to get his attention.

"Pff, taking it that you've never had coffee before - you okay?"

Micke waves his hands, sheepish smile across his face and then giving a thumbs up. "Nah nah, I'm good I'm good, don't worry!"

Its clear that she didn't really believe him, but she decided to just ignore it. She chuckled, turning her gaze down at her own cup again.

"So... You're new here, right?"

He nods

"Where you from then? Like where did you live before this?"

He takes a moment to answer, just looking blankly at her. What was he supposed to say? Oh, I'm a dude who ran out a forest and fell asleep on a road!

How was he even gonna be able to explain it? His miming to get his point across could only say so much.

"Do you have any paper?" He finally signed. She immediately understood what he needed, and got up to get him something to write on as well as a pen. After a moment she sat down again, putting the paper and pen in front of him. As soon as she was seated again, he begun writing. It took him a bit to get it done, but then he finally turned the paper and pushed it to her to read.

"I don't know where I'm from. I don't remember. All I remember is waking up in the middle of nowhere, my arm broken and weird gunk on my face. I really wish I could tell you."

She read through it a couple of times, before looking back up at him. "I'm so sorry Micke, I really wish I could help you."

"No no, its fine."

"Well... If you ever come to remember it again, tell me about it okay?"

Micke nods, smiling. He then returned the question. "Where are you from then?"

"Me? Oh, I'm from a neighbouring town! I moved here for school, and I guess I just kinda settled down here. Joey was nice enough to hire me, and the pay is pretty good y'know. Plus you get free drinks before and after work if you really want - although it gets pulled from your month's wage." She smiled. Micke tilted his head slightly. "Whats so special about the drinks?"

She snorted, "You work at a bar, but you don't know what alcohol is?" Haley laughed, but quickly silenced as she came to the realisation that he was being fully serious.

"Wait... Really? Geez man, your memory really must be messed up-"

The brunette shrugs. What was he supposed to do about it? It was just for him to learn and adjust at this point, this was a strange world as of which he had been put in.
