First Time Coming Out

I remember it like it was yesterday, it happened four years ago in my middle school cafeteria

I had a crush on my friend who sat at my lunch table who was also a lesbian and I frequently talked to her because she was my closest friend at the table
All of the sudden I looked at her and told her that I thought I liked her

And she started getting really happy that she wasn't the only other gay person in the school anymore

It felt so normal to me, I didn't really understand the idea of gay itself I knew I just felt a certain way towards girls

I thought it was an option when I was younger, I didn't realize everything that would actually happen

Of course my friends at the lunch table overheard which I didn't mind because they were close and I knew they wouldn't tell anyone, but I didn't really worry about the fact my "secret" was going to get out

They were all really happy for us and told us we should date which was kind of funny because we never actually did
I'm still friends with that girl today, and she has a lovely girlfriend
It all works out in the end
