Chapter 8 (Bad to Worse)

~Zendaya's POV~

Me - "So you guys are quitting?"

Teammate - "I just don't think dance is my jam. It's too mechanical, my artistic vision has been totally squashed. "

Teammate - "This is way more intense than I expected, frankly I'd rather take my chances doing regular P.E. "

Me - "No, the dance off is today you guys can't quit. I do not except your resignations, you made a commitment... now let's line up. "

I heard the ding sound on my phone. When the guy's started dancing they were right. I have to get them to be into dance of they're going to dance.

Me - "Something is off, it's like they're feet are into it but their hearts aren't. "

Rachel - "Yea, something's a little funky. Not a good funky like the school musical, but a bad funky like old cream cheese. "

Taylor - "If I were in any way friends, I suggest you quit now, before those weirdo robot zombies completely humiliate you but since I'm not... good luck tonight! *Chuckle* "

Me - "She's right. "

Rachel - "Yea she is. "

We watched Taylor instruct her dance squad.

Taylor - "Positions!"

Rachel - "Maybe we should-"

Me - "She got us beat.... And I refuse to accept that. "

I walked up towards them without them noticing and I used my app on them.

Me - "Completely confuse your left from your right. "

Rachel - "What, did you-"

We saw the boys and they started moving in the opposite way making the girls stumble and fall to the ground.

Me - "Looks ridiculous now, at least my squad can tell their left from their right, unlike a bunch of freaks hanging around like... well a pack of dogs but... maybe that's the squad you belong on. "

I turned to the side and I saw Jackson. He looked at me in a disappointing way. He started to walk away and I ran after him.

Me - "Okay Jackson wait. "

Jackson - "Sorry smartphone I gotta go. "

Me - "Well what happened in their it's just-"

Jackson - "That's your business okay, I've got nothing to say. "

Me - "But she deserved it, she's a terrible person, we both know that. "

Me - "Then how come you can't just be honest. "

Jackson - "Honestly I don't know how I feel for you. "

I was getting really angry so I held my phone up to my and used my app on him.

Me - "Just kiss me!"

He came up to me and kissed my cheek.

Me - "Uhhh, that was-"

Jackson - "I honestly don't know why I did that. That wasn't the way I wanted that to go... look I'm sorry about this whole thing. You know it's just... off. Maybe we should just.. give each other some space. "

I tried to open my mouth and speak but nothing came out it was no use.

Jackson - "For a while. "

I felt like crying just then but I didn't. I walked back into the gym and talked to Rachel.

Rachel - "Maybe we should end practice early for today. "

Me - "Yea. "

She could tell the boys were paying attention.

Rachel - "Ehm!"

I walked away when she touched my shoulder. I walked over to the bleachers and sat down.

Me - "I am officially over you, until further notice. "

I walked in the bathroom and rinsed my face.

Me - "Ugh! What do you want. "

Taylor - "Wishing that you were never me. "

***At home ***

Me - "Look I'm sorry that this happened... I just wish that there was a way to make things better and make them the way they were. "

I looked at the paper that was on the refrigerator and I had totally forgot about that.

Me - "A college scout. A scout is coming to come watch Adam play at the game, except he can't play!"

Rachel - "Uh oh. "

Me - "Come on we got to go. "
