Chapter twenty -five

car crash.... car... I'm gonna die

*peep * I kept hearing sirens and loud horns sounding on both my sensitive ears,

wait why am I still alive?

what is this warm feeling?  what's this wrapped around me

I opened my eyes and saw Jake above me who appears to be covering me

I had no time to look at my sorroundings I just stared at Jake looking over his body. was there a bruise?  did he hurt himself?

I looked to my left and saw a car so close to me and Jake,  I then saw legs.. boy's legs

I looked up and saw Robbie wide eyes who appeared to be in shock.

everything was happening and moving in slow motion as what my senses is making me see

then suddenly I drifted back to reality where in there's no such thing as slow motion

Jake was now slowly parting with the warm hug I just felt,  he lifted his head and looked at me,  straight to my blue eyes

there was disappointment in his eyes.

wait what did I do??

he opened his mouth and.

"the hell Hailette!!!  you could've killed yourself!!!! "

as expected...

he stood up and pulled me up and then let go when he was sure enough that I'm standing on my ground

he patted every part of his clothes so that dirt would disappear

I did the same with mine then he began talking again

"are you planning to die in a car accident?! " he yelled again

"I'm,  I'm sorry... I wasn't looking ".I replied looking down

then Robbie went near us "she really didn't mean to do it Jake.. it's all an accident don't be so harsh ".Robbie said

"yeah.. accident,  it's what it always is." Jake finished as he stand back and looked away, 

Robbie then went close and replaced Jake's position just now.

"are you okay? " he asked me

"yes. thanks to-- "

"you're welcome ".Jake replied still looking away.. like I was facing his back

"so why did you run anyway? "Robbie asked

Jake talked to the three drivers of the incident,  I didn't know I caused this much commotion

"you'll cause much much commotion than you'll ever know "

"huh? "

"what do you mean huh? " Robbie asked

"did you say that just now? "

"yes I asked a question ".Robbie replied

"I mean. no other than your question,  oh never mind ".who was that??  the voice is too familiar but I can't tell who it belongs to

"so why did you run?"

"oh. well,  long story you'll be bored if I tell ".I said

"okay.. sure ".Robbie replied

I miss this. we used to talk all day and all afternoon,  even at school.. what happened to us anyway?
