After Maddie told us about John we all decided to do something together.
"I'm gonna call Matt so he can drive us." Demi says with a smile.
"Ok babe."
She walked away and when she did I went to get Max.
When I got Max, Demi told me that Matt her driver will drive us to the arcade. We run to tell Maddie to finish getting ready and I sit on the couch next to John.
"So john, it's time for the talk."
"The talk?" He asks nervously.
"Haha yes the talk. The talk that if you hurt Maddie I will hunt you down and kill you. The talk that you better treat her right and take care of her." I say with a serious face.
"Mary, to be honest I'm in love with Maddie, I can see myself spending the rest of my life with her, I truly love her and her in pain is only me in pain, so I promise you and Demi that I will take care of her." He says looking into my eyes so I know he's telling the truth. He rubs his hands together slowly and shakes his leg a bit and I knew he was nervous.
I take him into a hug and hug him tightly.
"I'm glad you will John. Thank you." I say to him.
He smiled"no thank you because now that you found us I can keep her even more safe." He says.
I smile at him. I look a bit past him and see Demi reaching for a water bottle in the pantry to put in the fridge so we can drink it when we get home. I smile as I look at her. She's so adorable. I look down and smile to myself. John turns around to see what I was looking at and he sees it was Demi.
"You know, I hope for Maddie to look at me the way you look at Demi." He says.
"What do you mean? "I ask blushing lightly.
"You look at Demi like she's your whole life and like she's your sunshine and your eyes turn so light when you see her and they glow and you look at her like you give all your love and I don't know, I so ship you guys." He says chuckling. I blush even more.
"Well John, she is my everything. If it weren't for her I don't think id be alive, I have a past too but that beautiful woman right there, she got me through it. The blood in my veins are filled with her love. She's basically the Hazel to my Augustus. I know it's cheesy but I love her with all my heart." I say looking at Demi again. Before I can say anything she walks into the living room and looks at me staring at her. She blushes lightly.
"What?" She asks.
"I love you." I tell her.
"I love you too." She says and sits on my lap. Max comes running in the room with Maddie chasing him.
"So are we gonna go?" Maddie asks.
"Yeah" Demi says.
We then hear a knock on the door and see Matt and we all get in the car.
Max sits next to Maddie and John. I sit next to Demi.
She lays her head on my shoulder and I play with her hands. I take her hands to my lips and kiss them. Then I kiss her lips.
"You're so beautiful." I mumbled against her lips.
She wraps her arms around my arm and she pulls and tugs on it and I know she's saying thank you.
We get to the arcade. I offer Demi a piggy back ride to the arcade and she takes the offer and john offers to put Max on his shoulders. He gets max on his shoulders and Maddie holds Johns hand. We thank Matt and head inside.
Me and Demi run to the air hockey table and we play. One on one and I win.
She pouts and acts like a little kid.
"Hey Dems don't be upset plus I have something important to tell you."
"What?"
"I won." I say with a smirk. She starts chasing me and I run. I run fast and jump into the ball pit and she jumps in after me. She jumps on me and we both chuckle. I throw a ball at her then she throws one at me and we keep going and we chuckle even more.
"I'm gonna get you!" I say trying to move over to Demi. She screams a bit and gets out of the pit before I can catch her. Damn for a shorty she sure can run. I get out of the ball pit and chase her even more. She then runs to the basketball game. She jumps up and down and puts the coins in. She starts to play and I come up from behind. She struggles to get a ball inside the hoop. I grab her arms and put them into a position to help her make it in.
"Like this babe." I whisper in her ear and breathe on her neck. Her skin fills with goosebumps and I chuckle then I help her throw the ball and she makes it in.
She turns around and looks me in the eyes.
"Thanks." She says while biting her lip.
"Demi?"
"Yeah babe?"
"I know I tell you all the time but I really love you, and thank you for helping me pass through my dark times. Demi you aren't just the love of my life you are my savior. You saved my broken soul. You are my nightingale and you are my guardian angel and you are my everything. I'm glad I have you Demi. I love you." I whisper as I put my nose against hers. I can see her eyes filled with tears a bit and she smiles.
"I'm not the only savior, you're a savior too. You saved me from myself and you gave me the motivation to get better. You are the band aids to every wound I get. You're my protecter." She says with the biggest smile yet her eyes filled with lust. She brushes her lips against mine turning me on then she chuckles and I look at her with confusion.
"People who beat me at air hockey don't get kisses." She says with a smirk then runs away. I stand there and watch her run like a little kid and I smile to myself once again. I look at her run and chuckle. This girl always knows how to make me happy.
From the beginning and even til the end, I knew then and I know now that Demi will always be....the one.
