Chapter 9

She looked at me and smiled.

I haven't seen her smile like this. I could tell she was actually happy. I had to get her this monkey. Anything to make my baby happy.

"Dems you really seem to love this monkey." I said smiling.

"I really do babe, he's adorable." Her smile grew big.

I loved seeing that smile on her. It made her even more perfect.

I asked the guy to come with me so we can talk.

"How much do you want for the monkey?" I asked.

"For him, 9,000"

Damn, that's all the money I saved. But Demi smiling like that is definitely worth it.

"Alright." I wrote a check.

"You have $9,00?"

"I was saving for California in the future, but seeing her happy is better."

He nodded his head.

"The monkey is yours" he said giving me his supplies.

I walked to Demi.

"Why do you have Buddy's supplies?"

"You named him already?" I said giggling.

"Yeah." She said giggling.

"Good, because he's yours now."

"WHAT?!?!" She said excitedly.

"I got him for you"I said with a huge grin.

She squealed with happiness.

"Wait, he can't go home for a week actually, we got to make sure he has all his vaccines."the guy said.

"Alrighty" Demi said happily. We gave the guy the monkey. When they guy left Demi jumped on me hugging me tightly and kissing me on the lips.

"YOU'RE THE MOST AMAZING GIRLFRIEND!"

I giggled and she kissed me again except harder.

I gave her a piggy back ride to the motorcycle.

"Where do we go now?" I asked.

"Hmm I don't know."

I was talking until I got interrupted by a call. It was the bank.

"Ma'am,you're account was overdrawn, by an old prisoner. He seems to sell his monkeys and never gives them to the person."

"Are you serious?!?"

"Yes, would you like to make a police report?"

"Yes" I said.

After 10 minutes we finished out conversation.

"What happened??" Demi asked.

"The monkey guy stole my money, the monkey isn't ours."

"How much money was the monkey?"

"$9000"

"WHAT?"

"I just wanted you to be happy."

"Sigh, that's fine, it'll all be ok."

I got mad, of course it was easy for her to say that. She's a celebrity.

"No it won't be. I've been saving that money since I was a kid and I spent it on something stupid."

"Buddy is not stupid!"

"Easy for you to say, you didn't spend your life savings on him."

"Really? You know what? I didn't ask you to buy him. So it's your fault."

I rolled my eyes.

"Take me home."

"But babe I'm sorry."

"Whatever just take me home."

I sighed. I started to drive. I got to her house and she got off the motorcycle without saying anything.

I watched her walk into the house. And I just stayed in the car and cried.

I lost $9,000 and Demi in one day.

This sucks.

I started to drive on the highway and I was distracted by my thoughts when all of a sudden I heard a noise of a large truck and I looked to the left and all I saw was a flash then.....
