"Honey, come down stairs please" my
mother said for the millionth time. I sighed and put down my phone showing a message from my boyfriend Kun.
I'm sorry love I can't make it back for your birthday. My flight got delayed and I can't get there. I'll be there soon. I love you.
I read the message over and over. I hadn't seen Kun since he left for tour a month ago. He promised he would be here for your birthday then he would have to leave the next day. The tour wasn't very flexible but he somehow made time for me and it was all gong wrong. I knew it wasn't his fault but how could I not be sad. I slowly walked downstairs. I had detected this day for me and Kun to spend some time together but now I had nothing to do.
"Yeah mom" I said entering the kitchen.
"When is Kun going to be here" she said far too happy for how I felt right now.
"He's not coming mom" I replied sadly playing with my hands.
"Why not (y/n)?!" She questioned.
"His flight got delayed mom" I answered. She asked if I wanted to do something but I shook my head and went upstairs.
I sat on my bed for awhile on my phone till someone knocked on my bedroom door. I groaned as I got up to get it. I opened the door and saw my mother smiling at me.
"We are gonna go out and eat for lunch" she stated. I didn't want to turn her down so I solemnly agreed.
We ate at my favourite restaurant and talked. It was really nice and I'm glad she got me to go. We arrived home and we both got out of the car. I opened the front door to see Kun standing there with flowers.
"Hey love, happy birthday!" He beamed. I was so happy to see him. Ran up to him and hugged him. I'll admit I did cry a bit.
"I thought you couldn't come"
"Well I thought about how I already told you I was coming but I wanted to be more of a surprise so I told your mom and she got you out of the house while I set this up." He stated. He led me out to out backyard where all of my friends and family had set up decorations and a cake and presents.
"Kun this is amazing thank you so much!" I exclaimed
"You're welcome. I love you (y/n)"
"I love you too Kun."
