Chapter 17

❀Mackenzie POV❀

Now we're finally home! Its 11:24 and i am tired.

"Matt i am tired , you can go home.."

"Okay babe , see you tomorrow?"

"Sure!" i smiled.

"I told all my friends not to post pics because i just want my fans to.. Idk why. I will DM people maybe some fans tomorrow to ask for their kiks. Only about 10. I don't want people to post my kik so.. I am getting tired.. So i walked up the stairs , walked in the bathroom turned on the shower , took off my clothes and got in. The hot water pressing on my skin felt wonderful! I washed my hair and then washed my face and then put conditioner in and then washed my body. I got out and then dried off with my towels and then put on my Pj's and brushed my hair and turned off all of my lights and went to bed. I have a big bday day with Matt tomorrow!! I felt my eyes get wider and wider. I can't fall asleep! My stomach isn't feeling well. Soon i was gagging. Then I ran to the toilet. Then everything started to get black.

"MOM!!!!!!!!" I screamed at the last second then it got dark.

***an hour later***

I woke up in a hospital bed. I moved my body.

"Ow!"

"What?" the nurse asked.

"My body's soar."

"Oh yeah , we dod surgery on you .. you almost had cancer and died. U are very lucky."

My mom walked in and she had tears falling from her eyes. She ran and gave me a hug.

"Mom , i wanna ho home.."

"I know. They still have to do one more test then you can leave tomorrow."

"Where's Matt?"

"Honey.."

"Mom..? is he here? did you call him?"

"Yes i called him.. he isn't here.."

"W-what???"

I heard the doors open really fast. It was Matt.

"Hone , i am going to get something to eat."

"Okay mom"

"Kenz! omg what happened??"

"I don't know.. i just threw up and everything went black..."

"Oh .. well tomorrow is your birthday! Well technically today but i have something special if u can go.."

"Okay!!!"

"Now get some rest.! i got to go too! I love you no matter what!!"

"Love you too , Matt!!"

My mom walked back in with an orange juice and a bagel.

"Mom.."

"Yes?"

"Am i supposed to have the bagel now?"

"No... thats for breakfast silly goose.." she laughed.

She walked over to the couch.

"Now.. get some sleep.."

"Okay."

She turned off the lamp and she fell right to sleep. I felt my eyes get heavier and heavier. I soon fell into a deep sleep.

***The next day***

I woke up and Matt was standing beside the hospital bed. I turned to him.

"you get to go home in an hour." he said.

"I do?"

"yes. your mom wanted me to stay here because she had to go work and she tried to get off but no one else could."

"I know. Ever since my dad died she has to work a lot more than what she used to because we don't get that much money.."

"oh.."

"visiting time is over right now sir , we have to run one more test and then she will be able to leave." the doctor said.

"okay.."

"Kenz , your brother will be here to pick us up because my mom dropped me off."

"okay."

The nurses took me to another room and was running tests. When they were done they said I could leave. I walked out of the room and my brother was standing there. He ran to me.

"oh my gosh are you okay?"

"yes I am fine."

"let's go home now."

"okay."

So we got in the car and we drove home. We got home and we dropped off Matt.

"sorry your birthday went so bad.."

"it's okay."

"you know what...?"

"what?"

"I am going to make a party for you!"

"no it's okay.!"

"little sis! it's your birthday!"

"yeah I know but what if I get sick at the party and I have to go to the hospital again?"

"I wasn't going to invite 20 people I was just going to invite a few."

"oh fine!"

"yay"

"Just have the party at..... 3:30"

"okay!"

So it's 12:00 now so I have about 2 hours to myself. I am kinda tired. I walked up to my room and laid down on my bed and turned on my TV. I picked up my phone and looked on Instagram. Everyone was posting 'Pray for Mackenzie Rose Jefrey'. It was sweet but kinda embarrassing. I took a quick selfie and the caption was: 'Just got back from the Hospital! I'm okay! It's my birthday! Thanks for praying guys!' and posted it. The first like was Matt. Then all these other fans liking and commenting and stuff. I put my phone down and watched TV. I felt my eyes get heavy and I fell asleep.

**3 hours later**

I woke up. I picked up my phone to check the time.

"HOLY CRAP 2:58!!! I gotta get ready!!!"

I ran to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I took off my clothes and got in. I hurried up and washed my hair , face , body and then got out. I put on a Hollister shirt and Aeropostale shorts. I brushed my hair and dried it. I didn't have enough time to curl it so I just did a side braid. I put on some mascara and walked out. I checked the time. 3:23 it read. Just in time. My mom texted me.

mom: happy birthday !
me: thanks mom

I walked down stairs and a couple people were here. It was Matt , Nash , Savannah , Hayes , Nichole , Ava , Cameron , and my 2 best friends that promised we would get a house together.

"Laney! , Chris!"

We call her Chris because it's short for Christina.

"Kenzie!!" they said.

"Where's Trevor & Miranda?" I asked my brother.

"I don't know? But I invited them."

"okay."

I heard a knock on the door. I ran to it. It was Miranda and Trevor.

"hey birthday girl !"

"hey!"

"This is all the people."

"okay"

**an hour later**

"Looks like there's gonna be a storm." my brother said.

As soon as he finished that sentence the sirens went off. Everyone left except for Matt.
