I don't believe in the idea that words disappear after they are spoken.
They don't just evaporate into thin air.
They don't disappear with time.
No, they slip away into the sky.
I know that he used to tell you that he loved you, and that he would be there forever and always.
I know that she told you that you were her person, and that this would never change.
And I know that they are no longer in your life, and you feel as though their words meant nothing, that they disappeared the second you said goodbye.
But they are still out there.
Those special, heartfelt words still exist as little particles floating around in the universe.
They still hold the truth, even though they now feel like broken promises and broken hearts.
Because at that one moment in time, at the moment that those words were said to you, they were your truth.
They were your everything.
They gave you hope and faith in a world that wasn't always kind.
They let you know that you; that you were lovable, and taught you how to care and be cared for.
Maybe he doesn't love you anymore.
And maybe she's no longer your best friend.
Maybe this is the current truth.
But at one very precious point in time, these beautiful and honest words were spoken.
They were the truth.
They meant the world to you.
So hold on to that feeling.
The people may not be in your life anymore, but the feeling can always exist.
These words will never disappear, as energy never dies.
Now these words are little bits of love that float somewhere out there in the depths of the sky.
Because there is more to come.
