An unfamiliar alarm goes off, startling me. I sit up fast, my heart beating, my arm throbbing. I inhale quickly and see a large white bandage engulfing my arm. I look to my left and see Will stretching as he gets out of bed. I check my phone and see 20 unread messages all from Ethan.

I quickly call Macy, "If anyone asks I was sleeping over at your house last night."

"Okay, where are you? Why can I hear little kids?"

"I don't have time to explain, just trust me." I hang up.

I send Ethan a text,

"Calm your man tits, I just slept over at Macy's last night. We have a big test coming up that we're studying for."

"Were you really?"

He replies back quickly.

"Call her and ask if you must."

"That won't be needed. Just send me a text beforehand next time."

"Am I dead man?" Will faces me. Dang, why can't I look like that when I wake up.

"Not today, you're not," I joke back. His face sombers up when he sees me holding my arm.

"It feeling any better?" he asks not looking away from my arm.

"Not much, better my arm than my head," I stare blankly at the bandages.

"We completely forgot," Will stands up and throws a shirt over his head and grabs his phone. He dials a number quickly and holds the phone to his ear.

"What are you doing," I stand up.

"I got kidnapped and you almost died yesterday. I'm calling the police," he paces the floor, his fingers running through his hair.

"Yes, hi. I'd like to report a kidnapping...." he talks calmly to the officer.

After a few moments he hangs up, "So?" I ask looking at him.

"They said they'll look into it," he shrugs.

I hear my phone ding and I rush over to see a new text,

"We all make mistakes darling, after saving Will, calling the police was not the brightest idea. I thought you were cleverer than this. ~P"

I suck in a breath, "Maybe we shouldn't go to school today."

"Why do you say that?" He asks grabbing his camera and pulling it over his head.

"We might be in more danger if we go. Especially if we don't know how to defend ourselves."

"Did he texted you again?" I nod my head in response, "We'll just show the police the texts."

"I don't think that would be a good idea," I show Will my phone and he nods his head slowly.

"Okay, well, shall we learn to defend ourselves then?" he asks half joking.

"First we come up with a story on where we were yesterday," I say.

"I'm your new tutor and we studied later than we thought. So you just stayed over at a friend's house, so you wouldn't wake your parents."

"Why do I feel you've lied like this before?" I ask.

"I'm good at getting away with things, not too hard when Maria has to care for seven other kids," he shrugs.
