Pete woke up with no warm body to comfort him the morning after and he honestly felt slightly disappointed, but it was a one night stand - What do you really expect?

But it was Patrick, out of all people...Pete thought as he exhaled, finally sliding himself out of bed, and guided himself to downstairs where he noticed his living room wasn't as messy as one would expect during a party. He stopped for a moment when he smelled food being cooked.

Uh, who's in here..? Pete was ready to hit anyone if it came to that and slowly approached the kitchen where the sizzling sounds became louder.

"Patrick?" He called out, sighing relieved as he saw him running back and forth between the already prepared plate on the table to the stove where he noticed bacon and scrambled eggs where being made.

"Hey,"

"I thought you'd left." Pete murmured, content that he stayed. They sat on the couch together, staring at the pile of mess in front of the TV that consisted of empty cups and open bags of chips.

"Why would you think that? I wouldn't just leave like that." Patrick reassured, flashing towards him a light smile.

"I don't know, heh." Pete shrugged, glancing away from him after showing back a soft, gentle smile. He stood up and walked over to the pile, picking up the leftovers off of the wooden floor, standing back up - meanwhile Patrick couldn't help but checking him out every now and then.

'What the hell, Patrick?' Patrick conflicted with himself, shaking his head slightly.

After Pete threw out all of the things that sat near the television screen, he exhaled loudly, and affectionately glanced at Patrick.

"Can I uh-Ask you something?" Pete scratched the back of his head. Patrick nodded, "Shoot." He shrugged and Pete placed both his hands on the armchair, leaning towards his face - Patrick swallowed nervously.

"Do you promise not to pull back if I do this?" Pete moistened his bottom lip subtly and Patrick nodded again. Few seconds of seemingly a staring contest, Pete pulled him in for a long waited kiss. It was so passionate you'd expect it to be come out off a couple who'd been together for years.

Maybe they were in a sense.

Pete pulled back, pecking his lips once more. His eyes opened and awaited some sort of reaction from Patrick's face but nothing showed - he feared that probably wasn't the best thing to do.

"You're not saying anything...." Pete whispered and groaned, beginning to walk away to the kitchen. Patrick immediately followed alone and pinned him onto the counter, pressing his body against his own, taking his lips in again.

"Love never wanted me, so - why do you?" Pete questioned after pulling back. Patrick smiled, "Because you know for sure as hell that what happened last night was more than just a one night stand, but something we've both been wanting to do."

Well, he wasn't wrong. . . .

This started out a bromance, went further on to platonic love, to real felt love. What could they do? Ignore it? No. They had to do something about it even if it might risk certain things in their life's.

Definitely more - than a One Night Stand.
