"And I’m here to give you all of my love~" -Fall Out Boy, Just One Yesterday

                        - - - - - - - -

Patrick had it all planned out. It made him so terribly excited that this was the day he was going to ask him to be his official boyfriend. He'd only done something like this once in his life when a girl kissed him during prom - with his friends around so that didn't really work so well in the end but he was determined to make this as cheesy and cliché as possible but he really didn't care. He just wanted Pete finally all to himself.

Patrick had flowers and a blank coloured note card in his hand as he quickly approached the restaurant. He was running late.

Pete was already there and he admired the place as it looked extremely nice and even the waiters were dressed in a suit and bowtie, with some of the women wearing blouses or dresses if they so pleased to. His leg couldn't shaking, having a mind of its own.

What if he wasn't coming? He thought, brushing the thought away aggressively. He did not want this night to be ruined just because his stupid mind couldn't keep quiet about its concerns and anxiety.

A waiter approached Pete and asked him if he wanted a starter or a drink but he kindly denied, wanting to wait for Patrick.

"No, it's okay thank you. I'm-I'm waiting for someone to get here." He nodded.

"Alright, I'll come back later then." The woman smiled and walked off to attend to another table, with a large family.

Patrick panted as he finally approached the restaurants doors and glanced around, looking for Pete when he spots him all the way at the end, near the window table. He smiled and scoffed happily as he pecked the top of Pete's head and seated himself across from him.

"Oh ! Uh, here you go. You don't have to read it now of course." Patrick handed over the white roses mixed in with black, and the notecard. Pete smiled lightly as he took them, "Wow, festive." He giggled, smelling them and setting it down on the table.

"Oh, shut up." Patrick chuckled and watched as Pete opened the letter, seemed to hesitate, and put it back.

"I'll read that later if you don't mind." Pete announced and Patrick shrugged, "Sure." He replied, adding, "Hungry?" Pete nodded, "With your slow ass, yes I am."

"Pft, well I'm sorry I wanted to look decent for my love." Pete flustered at this, watching Patrick fix his tie again.

They held hands as they exited the restaurant and Patrick pulled him to the side so they weren't in the way of anyone trying to walk by.

"That was really nice of you. I enjoyed that very much. Thank you." Pete said, gently.

"Don't thank me. I was just doing what any decent man would." He replied and they stayed in pure silence until Patrick broke it, "Pete, I wanted to ask you something which is why I did the most cheesiet move and take you out somewhere."

"Yes?" Patrick sniffed, coughed a little, and cleared his throat.

"Uhm, will you be my-" Pete kissed him, cutting him off all together. He didn't care if anyone else was watching them, he simply wanted him to know that he chooses love over sympathetic sex and affection, but the real thing.

"Well, that was easy. . . .and unexpected." Patrick chuckled lightly and Pete nodded, "To answer your question: Yes. Yes, I will be your boyfriend."

"Good." Patrick smiled brightly and hugged him tightly.
