In a garden of flowers,
tulips, lupins, sunflowers.
every one different to the next,
representing people, with each of their steps.
Each of their stories, every one different,
but they're all equally blossoming.
The pain they have had to go through,
angry reds to the sad blues.
Different shapes, different styles,
there wasn't for a while,
but now there is a garden of smiles.
Some were planted farther down,
trouble growing in the right direction,
some had trouble with their pronouns.
Now each and every one is in full blossom,
the full summer sun shining on them,
watered enough, taken care of themselves.
Blues, yellows, reds, oranges,
lavender, violets, coronations, fuchsias,
all different. all beautiful.
