Yndeirth's laugh seemed to follow me. From Crimson's conversation with the witch and vampire, I knew they were in Iowa heading to Illinois. My best guess was: I was close to the witch's cabin. <I picked up a lot about each person with the amount of visions I had about them. Crimson's two companions were in many of my recent visions.>
The forest was thick and could easily hide a rainbow if needed. From the looks of it, I was heading in the right way. 1. I could hear the distant dragon that was torturing my sister. 2. I could see the smoke of the burning cabin.
Within the time that I observed this, I could feel my pursuer's presence and smell the smoke. In seconds I would be dead.
I felt the heat build up in Yndeirth's brother, or sister's, throat. The heat emitting from the dragon alone was enough to burn my flesh. I just kept running. I had been revived for maybe ten minutes and I would soon be dead once more. Meeting God twice in one day would be some story to tell.
I turned and saw the beast. It was maybe 100ft from me. I stood there and tried to concentrate. I had no weapon.
The dragon was now maybe 45ft away. Why was it not blasting me? I grabbed a stick. Things took an interesting turn from there.
