A MONTH LATER (september)
erika pov:
so today is the start of all sports! i'm excited because that means alissa and i battle it out to see whose going to be the cheer captain. since she didn't make the soccer team i don't worry about her for soccer, thank lord sweet baby Jesus. so every day after school i go right to cheer for an hour than soccer for another hour, but on Fridays i go to cheer for 45min than i go over to the football boys to train with them. so these next couple of months are going to be busy! i got up and got ready for school, i threw on a navy blue crop top on with white shorts and yeezys. got in the car when i get a text....(it was jake)
paul: hey erika did you leave yet?
tricky rik: nah i just got in the car, what's up?
paul: can you pick me up?
tricky rik: yup i'll be there in 10 i also have to pick up octavia
paul: okay thx
tricky rik: no prob

octavia and i have gotten really closer together this past month she's literally a mini me, we can just tell when one isn't in the right mind set or something is up. she has really gotten to be my little sister. i pulled up to her house walked up to the door i knocked and knocked nobody answered than i texted her

rik: O are you home?
o: yeah sorry come on up my brother has his girlfriend over and there being so loud🙄
rik: okay i'm coming up!
as i walk into the house wow she wasn't wrong they were fucking loud.... just then as i walk into octavia's room i hear her brother say:
brother: a...aliss...alissa you have to get to school!
alissa: fine but we are going to finish this later😉
just than i propped my phone up so i could get her face as she walked away. i hit record and bolted into octavia's room!
octavia: rik what's going on why are you out of breath?
erika: (catching her breath) do you know who your brothers girlfriend is?
octavia: no never met her, why?
erika: because it's alissa jakes girlfriend !
octavia: oh shit!! *shocked*
erika: yeah let me check my phone i propped it up so i could record her leaving to show jake!
i grabbed my phone looked at the video with octavia looking over my shoulder.
erika: fuck
octavia: why would she do that to jake after all jake has done for her!!*getting mad*
i looked at the time
erika: shoot we gotta go pick up jake!
we bolted down the stairs into the car and drove to jakes which was literally only a 5min drive.

jake got in the front and octavia moved to the back. jake and octavia did a little handshake thing

octavia: not much j how about you?
jake: oh you know the usual
it started to get awkwardly quite until i spoke.
erika: jake what are you doing after school today?
jake looks from the window to me
jake: i don't know why, what's up ??
erika: nothing i just need to talk to you after school at your house if that's okay?
jake: yeah that's fine i mom would love to see you! your all she ever talks about you know?
erika: really !?!
jake: yeah! i think she loves you more than me *sarcastically*
i flip my hair over my shoulder
erika: yeah i know everyone loves me*winks*
octavia: i know i do!!
says raising her hand like a kindergartner. we all laughed then we got to school. the whole school was buzzing about who was gonna be the cheer captain me or alissa. we even had a school wide assembly about it.
mr.crompton: so as you all know alissa..(people booed and cheered) and erika...(everyone cheered) will be battling it out today after school to see who will be the cheer team captain!
school: *clapping and cheering*
mr. crompton put his hand in the air and everyone stopped talking.
mr. crompton: in order to pick your cheer team captain after they do there tricks and flips you all will vote through your phones on our website we created!! GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!
mr. crompton left and everyone cheered then they settled down and left to their next class.
AFTER SCHOOL ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD:
i look over in the stands to see the squad in the first row! i super hype!!
mr.crompton:okay settle down!! erika you can pick some people to be in this along with alissa, but only three others!
erika: tessa, mack and alex!
alissa: abby,gabby and bridget!!
mr.crompton: and now we will see who wins in the end!! GOOOOD LUCK GIRLS!
alissa's team started by doing back handsprings, ariel's, back walk overs and round offs. they did even look that organized. as they were going we all talked and we are going to do a pyramid with me on top than i jump off doings front tuck and landing.
erika: okay you guys got it then alex,tessa,mack remember how we wanted to show coach a cheer number we made up?
girls: yeah!
erika: let's do it! we can get the crowd hyped and doing to along with us what do you say?
girls: hell yeah!!!
as alissa walks off with her team i was walking up when she bodied me i looked at her as she turned around and giggled
erika: alissa watch a learn my "friend"
i continue on the music played we got into the pyramid when i got on top we weren't that high off the ground i jumped up....did a front tuck and stuck the landing, everyone was cheering. i looked over to see alissa shaking her head. then mack and alex were getting the crowd pumped i looked at tessa and mouthed "do it t" she ran up to me i put my hands out so she could step on them for support with her back tuck. towards the end of the song we all ran from one side of the field towards the crowd doing a round off back handspring, back handspring, ariel, layout back tuck. once it was over i was hoisted up in the air by alex,mack,and tessa. then i was cradled down and everyone was on there feet clapping and cheering the boys came down in excitement and completely shocked.
mr.crompton: okay well i hope you all saw what i just saw!!
everyone:yeah!!!
mr.crompton: so who's it gonna be!! drump roll please..(ebveryone is using their hands and hitting them on there thighs waiting) the cheer captain is with 98% vote is.......
