erika pov:
tessa and i were in the locker room getting changed into our soccer uniforms white on top, red shorts, white socks. as we were putting on our cleats coach comes over
coach jeff: hey erika, do you have a minute?
erika: yeah of course let me just finish tying my cleats!
once i finished i followed him out of the locker room down the hall, as i walked out i saw jake and mouthed 'hold on', he nodded
erika: so what's up?
coach jeff: so as you know it's our first game and it's tradition to have the head
cheerleader read the names of the football team. so all you have to do is read this paper.
erika: okay, but why are you telling me this not that i'm complaining but-
coach jeff: because your cheer coach isn't here yet and i figured you might want to practice a little before
erika: oh okay...but won't i need to get changed into cheer uniform before?
coach jeff: yeah
once he walked away i walked back trying to process what just happened, well that was the most awkward conversation i've had with him. i swear he just made that up but whatever.
jake: you ready?
erika: ohhh yeah!
jake: so where we going for this mini photo shoot?
i looked up at him
erika: hey i never said it was a 'mini photo shoot'! *mocking jake*
jake: well i know you when it comes to your pictures
erika: well then let me go get kelly!
jake: k
i opened the locker room door
erika:KELLY BRING YOUR CAMERA
kelly: COMING!
i walked back over to jake
jake: really*rolls his eyes*
erika: what?
kelly: what's up rik?
erika: can you take a couple of pictures of jake and i?
kelly: is that even a question? yeah of course!!!
a couple hundred photos later
jake pov:
we were looking at the pictures we took, wow erika is hot! dammm. i can't wait to call her mine!
erika: jake...hello....jake?!
jake: ya *coming out of a daze*
erika: come on, they are about to start and i'm not sure if you knew but i'm playing
jake: then why are we standing here?!
i grabbed erika's hand and we ran to the field where her team was lined up almost ready to walk out to the field.
erika: i gotta go see you after?
jake: you got it!
announcer: if your ready make some noise
the whole crowd was roaring
jake: go get em crip!
i kissed her on the head and ran out over towards anthony,chance,kade,and the rest of the boys.
erika pov:
after jake kissed me on head and left all the girls were squealing
tessa: OMG I KNEW IT YALL ARE DATING!!
girls: JERIKA!!! *screeching*
announcer: now give me a hand and welcoming our every own lady DEMANDS!!! lead by captain ERIKA COSTELL!!!
everyone was cheering as we ran out to the field and started to warm up on the field. as we where finishing up with stretching the red calls for captains
ref: CAPTAINS!
once i run over
ref: introduce your selves
erika:erika
lauren: lauren
she looked familiar but i couldn't figure out from where
ref: okay, since your home erika, lauren you call it in the air. heads or tails
lauren: tails
ref: tails it is you start with the ball what side would you like to defend?
lauren: i'll defend the side we are on
ref: okay good luck!
we shake hands
both: good luck
i run back to my team, slipped on my shin guards.
coach jo: okay so you all know the plays, so now for positions starting in net is sarah, defense taylor, kendall, kendra, mids are courtney, mack,
octavia, outside wings are ayla and alex as for up top erika and tessa. now let's get em girls kick some butt!! erika will you count us off?
erika: sure
we all get is a huddle sway back and forth
erika: DEMANDS ON 3...1...2...3
we put our hands in the middle
whole team: demands!!!
we ran out on to the field as we did the crowd cheered.
erika: girls bring it in!!
they came running over
girls: what's up?
erika: i wanted to do a little something with you all, it's something tessa and i used to do before every soccer game.
tessa: omg yesssss
erika: okay so what do y'all say?
girls: i'm down!
erika: so here's how it starts snap with one hand than snap with the other clap, clap, kiss kiss your hand, tap your knee twice than bring it in with a hug.
octavia: i like that
tessa: let's take it slow ready
everyone:snap..snap..clap..clap..kiss..
kiss..knee..knee and bring it in!
ref: *tweet tweet* game time (says as he's walking on the field with the side line refs(ARs)
we get it our positions than the ref blows the whistle and the game begins. the other team has the ball, they attempt to meg tessa yet they fail and the crowd roars.
octavia: tessa got me back
tessa passes it back to octavia, who than passed it to alex, alex send it down the field to mack, who dribbles down, i make a run to get open
erika: MACK OVER!
mack chips it over i run towards it, i'm right at the goal have a clear shot at the net but the goalie, comes out and grabs it before i can head it over. when she grabs the ball out of the air i'm still in the air and fall on top of her
erika: sorry keep
keep: it's okay
tessa helps me up
tessa: you good rik?
erika: yeah i'm fine just knocked the wind out of me.
we ran back to half and the crowd was gasping as the other goes to take a shot on our net but sarah saves it by driving and pulls it close to her.
crowd: SARAH SARAH WOAHHHH DAMM
sarah looks around to punt the ball but nobody was open so i cut in between two people creating space throw my hand in the air she sees me i point to the space she nods, then next thing you know it's soaring in the sky into the spot i showed her. i trap the ball and bring it down with my leg, now it's just me and the defender i run up close to her, drag the ball close to her, she goes to lunge and i quickly kick it through her legs megging her
crowd: OOOOO!!
now it's just the goalie and i. i look up to to see tessa slightly behind me. i pass it to her she goes to shoot and the goalie deflects it i ran after it. i headed it. at this point there defenders where coming back because they tried to lunge for the ball but i just kept on the running i was at the home stretch. once again just the goalie and i. i got close to her and megged her at the top of the box and ran after the ball...scored!!!
crowd: *gasped* Woahhhhh!!!
i ran back to everyone as they were running towards me. once they got here we jumped up and hugged and tessa and i did our hand shake. then the team started chanting my name than the crowd joining
everyone: TRICKY RIK! TRICKY RIK! TRICKY RIK!
everyone was ecstatic, i looked over at jake and winked, then got back in my spot.
