Yoongi's birthday party was all Jimin had in mind for the following twenty-four hours. He wanted to make it memorable considering there must be a reason behind Yoongi's adamant attitude against celebrating it. And also, it helped to distract himself from thoughts of Hoseok and the fact their relationship is on the fire line. He answered Taehyung's text as soon as he left the coffee shop and sent him a list of things to fetch for the following day. Tae had wanted to talk to him about what Jungkook's friend had said but he resigned himself to let it go for a few hours since Jimin seemed to be actually happy for once in a long time.

And now here they are, decorating the music storage room that no one uses (they got the key from Yoongi himself who didn't suspect a thing when Jin asked for it with the excuse of needing a place to save his lacrosse stick. He really didn't want to ask any further questions). The plan was for Jin to call him at 8 p.m and tell him he couldn't open the door, so the younger would show up and...boom, surprise!

"I said it from the very beginning, this is not his style," Taehyung is saying as he watches Seokjin blowing a balloon, cheeks red with the effort, eyes wide open and glassy. It'd be hilarious if it weren't for the fact they've been doing this for over an hour.

"Shut it, Tae! He's going to love it," Jimin grins as he arranges the cups through the two small though heavy tables they had to bring up the stairs. Jin's clumsiness and Taehyung's weak arms weren't a great combination, so the blonde had to step up and help instead of yelling them instructions from upstairs (not that it made such a big difference anyway)..

"Why so many cups? Isn't it just going to be us four?" Tae inquiries twisting his head to the side in confusion.

"Of course not! What kind of party would that be?"

Jin ties the end of the balloon with a piece of white string and delivers it to Tae who sticks it with tape to the wall next to the others, completing the rainbow (not really since the package only had blue, green and red colors). "I said we had to prepare something weeks ago but no one bothered to hear me! And now this is what we have come up with. Cheap balloons and plastic cups, a disgrace!" Jin yells, shaking his head. His reddish mouth is open in frustration, his voice troubled in that tone he uses when he's irritated that makes Jimin crack up...well, usually.

"Oh shut the fuck up, Jin," he says with a frown instead of laughing, a bit offended due to the comment since he had to prepare everything mostly by himself in a day.

"Fuck you , Jiminnie!" Seokjin easily replies, still using the same loud, mad voice.

"Who is coming anyway?" Tae asks, no longer wanting to hear the other two quarreling like little kids.

"I invited Yugyeom since he's been a super really extra nice friend to me!" Jimin smiles, eyes lighting up. "He said he has dancing classes at ten though, so he'll be leaving early." He adds in a sulky face.

Tae is once again reminded of the words that said nice friend told him a day ago and he swallows before saying as nonchalantly as he can manage, "Did you guys eat already?"

"Yes! I had noodles with--" Jin begins, excited as he usually is whenever he gets to talk about food.

"What about you, Jimin?" Tae asks because he doesn't really care about what Seokjin had for lunch and also because if he let him talk, he would never really shut up.

"Geez, why ask if you don't even let me finish!?" Jin shakes his head, flabbergasted.

"I ate before coming here," the blonde easily replies, barely meeting his eyes, fingers fidgeting with his sweater and Tae just knows .

"Really? I think---"

"So, who else is coming besides your roommate?" Seokjin asks, interrupting him. He sends the older a glare as he turns around to keep messing with the ugly balloons.
