"I can't believe you never told me you played Overwatch. That's like the only thing I enjoy doing these days," Jungkook comments without taking his eyes off the screen in front of him, his hands taking the controller and pressing the buttons with an almost fervent desperation to win, back arching away from the bed behind them as they're both sitting on the floor.
Taehyung raises an inquiring eyebrow at the words that leave his mouth as he glances over his boyfriend before pausing the game and turning towards him.
"Wow. The only thing?" he asks, testing him, eyes challenging as they narrow upon the younger. But Jungkook is far from being intimidated as his hold on the controller tightens and he sends Taehyung an almost betrayed look.
"Dude you can't just pause the game!" he whines, pointing at his character as if ordering him to move.
"Dude?!" Taehyung repeats, dumbfounded by the sudden nickname that sounds way too distant and straight for his liking. He'd rather have Jungkook call him baby, Tae, even goddamn kitten...okay, who is he kidding here, he really wants Jungkook to call him kitten. Maybe even pet him?
Jungkook suddenly huffs, eyes turning a bit darker as they stare back at Taehyung and return him to the matter at hand.
"You're just acting like this because I was beating your ass," he states, voice determined and confident as if he has Taehyung all figured out. And yeah he probably does but he's wrong, at least now.
And so Taehyung rolls his eyes at that. "It's just a--"
The younger's eyes widen as he quickly shakes his head, index finger waving in the air. "Don't say it's just a game. It's not 'just' a game, it's--"
Taehyung laughs loudly, both surprised and perplexed as he watches his boyfriend's demeanor change completely the longer they discuss this, which in his opinion is a really dumb discussion to begin with. He bets Jungkook begs to differ, though.
"Woaaaah. You really are competitive. Were you always this way? How didn't I realize before!?" he asks biting his lip to suppress the grin that is currently fighting its way towards his mouth.
Jungkook wraps his arms around his chest like a petulant child, although he's still holding onto the controller as if ready to continue playing if Taehyung were to press play. As if.
"What even means being 'competitive'? That's what the losers call the people who win," he says with an almost indifferent shrug, eyes returning to the screen which remains pretty much frozen.
Taehyung stares at Jungkook then, mouth open in awe because fuck, he's really never seen Jungkook so worked up about something so stupid. Sure, no one likes to lose on a game but he's played Overwatch a bazillion times before and even if he hadn't, he still doesn't really give that much of a shit about beating his boyfriend over it. They were supposed to hang out at his room and Taehyung simply mentioned he played the game while discussing the present he'd gotten for his last birthday...now he's kinda regretting ever showing Jungkook his playstation at all.
But, at the same time, competitive Jungkook is kinda really fucking hot.
"Mmm...what if I tell you we can do something better instead? More fun?" the older suggests then, approaching Jungkook slowly as he bites on his lower lip. He's literally crawling across the floor in all fours like a dog but he doesn't care, not when Jungkook's eyes go to his mouth before they return back to his. Taehyung notices his hold on the controller already wavering and swallows a smirk.
"Like what?" he asks anyway, pretending he doesn't know what Taehyung is referring to despite having his boyfriend running a hand down his thigh and surely nearing upwards. His eyes betray him as they eat his boyfriend alive, tongue circling his lips, leaving them damp and kissable.
