"Ok so we are seven and we have two cars. Who is going with whom?" Seokjin wonders with a raised eyebrow as he leans against the hood of his car. It's a cheap one, an old grey impala that his parents got him for his high school graduation. They would all make fun of the american antique which his father kept bragging about, but Jin also loved it. Despite all of his love for the car and the good care he took for it though, it paled in comparison to Jungkook's expensive, black porsche. Taehyung wishes he could travel on that one but of course he can't; he shouldn't.
"I'm going with you," he rushes to say before anyone else can but it's not like anyone besides Namjoon would want to volunteer to be inside that awful car.
Jungkook glares at him from behind his ray-bands. Well, he can't really see his eyes but he is probably glaring, muscular arms crossed over his chest like he's so over Taehyung's shit. "You're coming with me," he states, leaving little room for doubt, before pointing at Hoseok and Yoongi. "And so are those two."
"We have names, dude," Yoongi grunts from besides Namjoon who is looking pretty out of place in his vest sweater and cargo pants.
"Yeah well," Jungkook shrugs carelessly. Tae wishes he didn't look so fucking hot in blue ripped jeans and a white loose shirt. It's unfair.
"Why do you get to decide?" Taehyung asks with a frown, just because he's annoyed and this trip will be his utter doom if Jungkook is already looking like a model taken out of a magazine.
"It's his cabin, Tae," Jin replies, always the knowing mother.
"Fine."
It does make sense though, Jimin shouldn't be traveling with Hoseok nor Yoongi since it would make things difficult. Him tagging along Namjoon and Seokjin is the safest bet they had considering those two lovebirds are harmless. And also, Jungkook doesn't know anyone but Taehyung and it's mean to leave him to rot with his friends. Though the truth is Tae never really considered Hoseok and Yoongi as close as Jin and Jimin. They were always additions to Jimin's life and he liked them...but after everything that happened, he doesn't think he does anymore.
"Okay, let's go before we waste any more time. Joonie, Jimin, you get the fun car!" Jin grins widely, arms waving in the air as he points to his car.
"Kill me now," Jimin mumbles to Namjoon who simply chuckles, eyes soft, before walking towards the door.
"Heard that!" Seokjin says back, already putting on his seat belt. Taehyung is surprised by how quickly he moves for such a slow driver.
"I am not traveling with him back there," Hoseok says then, eyes glaring at Yoongi who simply rolls his eyes and replies,
"Well then stay."
Hoseok makes a sound that worries Taehyung they're going to break into a fist fight right then and there but thankfully Jungkook is already pushing them inside his porsche and there's little time to do anything but obey the rich kid.
Tae sighs as he makes his way towards the seat next to Jungkook. This is going to be a long trip.
The cabin is only two hours away but it's only been thirty minutes and Taehyung is seriously considering jumping from the window. Yoongi put his headphones on as soon as they took the highway and Hoseok glared through the window for the first ten minutes before falling asleep on the spot.
And so that left Jungkook, hidden behind the protection of his ray-bands, driving in silence and Taehyung suffering next to him.
The radio isn't even on. Who drives without music!? And the older is too scared to ask. Too scared to fall asleep, too, afraid Jungkook may do something like drop him off in the middle of nowhere. He sighs quietly, glancing at the clock on the screen for the hundredth time.
