Kieran left a few moments later, after briskly apologizing to Loki for being the cause of his meltdown.
"I-I just need to-," he didn't even finish his sentence before he raced out of the apartment, leaving a pile of comics behind, instead of dust.
Loki and Thor just remained there staring at each other in childlike wonder.
Thor just kissed me! I kissed him! Oh Lords, what are we doing? That was-that was amazing!
That was incredible. He looks so dazed. Does he regret it? Oh Loki, I'm sorry.
"I'll leave you two alone." Heimdell smirked from the sink, emptying his coffee mug and snatching a breakfast bar from the counter. "I'll be back at noon. I haven't checked on the store for a while. Superstition Supreme needs me."
Then he was gone.
Thor stared at the door he had just exited with a small smile.
Loki shifted in his arms and Thor winced, making a move to untangle himself from the brother he practically just assaulted.
"Loki, I am sorr-,"
His words were cut off when a soft mouth crushed his once again.
Thor's reaction was a reflex.
He twisted their bodies into a more comfortable position and proceeded to tease at the smaller boy's lips with his teeth. The kiss was lazy and experimental; restricted yet perfect.
Loki made a content sound at the back of his throat, like a kitten mewling.
Thor's hands traveled from his lover's waist to his neck and they eventually wound their way into his beautiful locks. Loki smiled and their kiss broke.
"Beautiful," Loki whispered in awe, rubbing his nose against Thor's in an act of affection. The God of Thunder blushed like a schoolgirl, gently tugging on Loki's unruly mane. "Even the stars envy you, dearest brother."
"They haven't laid eyes upon you, then." Thor returned, gently turning his head to press his lips to Loki's cheek. "And, yes, perhaps brother shouldn't apply to us anymore."
Loki grinned at this small victory before taking a step backwards and coughing into his hands.
When the spluttering didn't cease, Thor forced his brother to sit down whilst he made him another Leamsip drink.
"They taste like shit, I know." Thor chuckled when the youngest wrinkled his nose in distaste. "But they help."
With a weak glare, Loki clasped the ugly yellow concoction in his hands, still trembling.
An unattractive red welt had climbed up his neck during the episode. He appeared flushed and red.
"I think we should lay you down," Thor reassured softly, scooping the young teen up into his arms.
He yawned and nuzzled his face into Thor's collar bone.
The God of Thunder smiled before placing the smaller teen on his bed.
Kieran had gone to town and bought them bed sheets and wallpaper. The rolls of paper were still stuffed in a corner but Loki had pulled on his green sheets as soon as they'd arrived. The black and yellow butterflies' littered the thing and Loki loved them.
Pressing a small kiss to Loki's forehead, Thor took one last loving glance at the sleeping boy before he tried to leave.
"Mm. I love you,"
It was just a grumble that was lost into the pillow he was lying face down into but goose bumps spread across Thor's arms just the same.
His heart swelled with love.
With unconditional love that he had been steadfast growing for possibly centuries now.
How had he never seen it before?
"I love you too, baby bro."
