When I first got with my boyfriend, I was 135 pounds and healthy. Even then I was always afraid I wasn't skinny enough. I was bullied as a kid because of my skin condition. I have eczema and psoriasis. Well after moving in with him for a year, I gained a total of 30 pounds, leaving me at 165. I was okay with the weight gain at first. It didn't bother me, until I got pregnant. Going through 9 months of pregnancy, the stretch marks growing, caused me to feel self conscious. My stomach is no longer toned, it's flabby and full of stretch marks. My breasts are fuller and sag. My thighs are huge and I have cellulite. It's been almost a year since I've had my baby and I finally see my body for the temple it is. Hell! I carried a baby for 9 months. My body grew with the baby, protecting her, offering her shelter. I love my mom body more than anything in the world. My stretch marks are a constant reminder of the beautiful human I brought into this world.
