Alarms blaring woke Scott up from his slumber. Immediately he got out of bed and started putting on his uniform. The only reason the alarm would be on, was there was an outbreak that needed to be contained. Scott ran out of his room as he pulled his gloves on. Running down the hallway, Scott raced towards the armoury. Once he got there, Aiden was already putting his kit on.
"Hey", Scott called to him as he began to gear up. "Any idea what it is?".
"Now how the hell am I meant to know that?", Aiden replied.
Aiden was a skinny guy with short brown hair and brown eyes, he had a cyber looking tattoo on the right side of his face just behind his eye. He had a southern English accent compared to Scott's Louisiana one. Scott had become used to the different accents in the UK after spending three years at the BSAA, (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) recruitment centre just outside of London. Aiden was a part of the 'Lurking Fears' operation two years ago, he stayed and helped Blue Umbrella go through the information they had gathered.
After Rowan had been brutally killed by Scott's out of control brother, Lucas. Aiden helped Scott through the rough times ahead once they got back to the BSAA, they became good friends not long after.
"Just asking", Scott replied, "you're the one who would most likely know".
"Fair point. I was listening to the news before the alarms went off. There have been multiple attacks around the world, we're probably heading to one of them", Aiden replied.
"Just great", Scott stated as he finished putting his gear on. Adjusting his gun strap on his shoulder, Scott and Aiden followed other BSAA agents outside. Once outside Scott turned his attention to finding Chris Redfield. The leader of his team. Spotting him and the rest of his team standing in front of a Chinook helicopter, Scott ran over to join them. Nadia was a pale woman with shoulder-length brown hair and dark eyes, she was an American like Scott, she was formally an L.A.P.D SWAT sniper before she joined the BSAA.
D.C. was another American with dark skin, he had black hair and a light beard on his face. He was a special forces soldier before the BSAA, he always had his nose in a book when they were travelling somewhere and watched way too much T.V. as he could have a full discussion on a film or show he had seen.
Chris had dark brown hair and blue eyes, he had light stubble on his face. He was the captain of their team and one of the people responsible for the BSAA existing in the first place. He was also the reason why Scott joined the BSAA. They were standing around waiting while Ivan, the last man on their team, was nowhere to be seen.
"What's happened?", Scott asked once he was close enough.
"Coordinated bioterrorism attacks have happened around the world", Chris explained, "BSAA agents have already been sent out, to contain the outbreaks. The agents on scene, have set up camps and have begun to treat people alongside emergency services. Many have realised they are too heavily outnumbered with the survivors, while others need assistance to help secure the area. Any available teams are being sent out to help".
"So where are we heading?".
"We are being sent out to Portsmouth to investigate the nearest outbreak to us", Chris replied as he looked around at agents rushing about. "Where on earth is Ivan", Chris stated.
"Running late as always", D.C replied from behind Chris. Scott turned to see if he could see his missing team member among the busy and bustling crowd as they prepared to leave to wherever they are going. As he did, he spotted Aiden and his team boarding a chinook. "Where's Elliot's team heading?", Scott asked.
"New York", Chris replied bluntly as Ivan approached them.
"Sorry, I got caught up", was Ivan's basic reply. Chris just looked at Ivan before he turned around and headed towards the Chinook behind him. "Let's go!", he called out. The rest of his team began to follow his lead.
"Captain Redfield!", a voice called out behind them. Turning around, Scott watched Natalie approach them. Natalie was also a part of the 'Lurking Fears' operation, she stayed and helped Aiden with Blue Umbrella. After that operation, Natalie hadn't spoken to Scott after she punched him in the face because he had been lying to everyone for over three years about who he was and where he came from.
"Joan sent me, she said you could use an extra hand", Natalie explained as she stood before the team, keeping her attention on Chris and not glancing around at the other team members. Chris was silent as he thought about it for a few seconds, before sighing in frustration. "We don't have time. If you're coming, then come", he said as he turned back and walked off.
Natalie nodded her head and began to follow Chris. "Nat", Scott said as she walked past. Natalie didn't acknowledge him she boarded the helicopter. "Don't worry", D.C. said in his deep voice as he placed his hand on Scott's shoulder. Scott shook his head as he followed the others.
