Resident Evil: Catalyst

Once the helicopter arrived back at the BSAA, everything wasn't as hectic as when Scott and his team left. But there weren't as many people as there normally was. A few technicians, a handful of security and scientists milling around, but no agents.

Scott followed his team across the roof towards the elevators. As he walked, he glanced over at Jacks who was carrying Jake. The little boy had fallen asleep on the trip and was clinging to his uncle for dear life. 'Poor kid', Scott thought.

Once they reach the elevators, everyone was quiet. No one spoke until they got closer to the ground floor. "Everyone go and get some rest; we don't know how long we're gonna be here for. Scott and Jacks, you guys come with me", Chris told them as the elevator finally reached the ground floor.

As everyone got off, Scott followed behind Chris and Jacks, while the rest of his team went in the opposite direction, heading towards the armoury before they went back to their rooms to rest.

"Chris, I need to see my sis-", Scott started to say as they walked through the empty halls, only for Chris to cut him off.

"Zoe and Rebecca are here", Chris simply said without turning around to look at him, "they came from the university not long after the outbreaks hit". Scott nodded his head, even though he knew Chris wouldn't be able to see him.

The rest of the walk was in silence. Chris took the three of them to one of the labs that the BSAA had. Inside Scott's sister, Zoe, was working away on a computer, her bright white hair shining in the light and her light blue eyes were focused on the screen in front of her. Scott could see the back of Rebecca's head as she seemed to be doing something at one of the tables behind Zoe.

Zoe was the first one to notice them. "Scott", she called, as she got up from her chair and walked over to them. "Zoe", Scott greeted as he stepped forward to hug her.

"Haven't seen you two in a long time", Rebecca said as she walked over to them, "Chris, Scott", Rebecca greeted as Scott let Zoe go to face Rebecca.

Rebecca still had her brown hair short and her eyes were bright green. Zoe stepped back to stand next to her. If you didn't know any better the two of them could be mistaken for sisters. With the only difference between them being Zoe was slightly taller than Rebecca and had a Louisiana accent, same as Scott.

"Are you going to introduce us?", Rebecca asked turning her attention to Jacks and Jake.

"This is Jacks and his nephew Jake", Chris said as Jacks nodded his head in greeting to them as he woke Jake up. "Hey Jake, we're here mate", Jacks said softly as the little boy woke up.

"Hi, I'm Rebecca Chambers, and this is Zoe Baker ", Rebecca said, she waved a hand at Zoe as she introduced them, not once taking her eyes off the little boy. She stepped closer to Jacks and Jake as she said something to the little boy. Jake seemed to lean away from her and closer to his uncle. "It's ok, Jake", Jacks said trying to reassure the scared little boy.

"I have a favour to ask, Rebecca", Chris said getting her attention, "would you be able to look after Jake for a while. His uncle is going to be helping the BSAA for a little while and it's only them".

Rebecca nodded her head, "sure, that won't be a problem", she said as she turned to look at Chris, "we'll be here until everything has been cleared up and a cure has been made for the infected".

"That may take longer than you think", Chris said, "we could barely find any survivors and there weren't any infected".

"That can't be possible", Rebecca replied as she took a step closer to Chris. "How can that be possible?".
