Looking down the sights, Scott could see the gates to the park using the night vision in the helmet to get a clear view of the gate and its surroundings. There was no sign of Leon yet. Scott shifted slightly from being crouched for so long, adjusting his sight as he continued to check the area around the gates, looking for anything that could indicate that Sam Fox was here. But he hadn't seen anyone so far, nothing to indicate that people have been here recently. There weren't even guards patrolling the area. If Sam Fox was here, he didn't want anybody to know.

"He's late", Ivan hissed under his breath, from where he was crouched next to Scott.

"If there was a set time to meet, he would be Ivan", Chris whispered back. "We'll wait a little bit longer, if he doesn't turn up, we'll have to continue without him. Now shut up before we get spotted".

"If we get spotted", Ivan snapped, "there's no one here".

"Shut it", Jacks hissed.

Scott held back a chuckle as Ivan instantly quietened down. They sat waiting, watching the gates to the park from where they sat in the surrounding woods. The wind suddenly picked up causing the trees to shake and the gate to creak as the metal gates began to swing slightly. "Why did he have to choose a creepy abandoned place?", Jacks asked.

"You can ask that to every one of them we catch, they never give a straight answer", Scott replied. Suddenly movement caught his attention, turning his sights to what he had seen, Scott could make out a shadow moving around the wall of the park towards the gate. "Got movement, on the right side of the gate", Scott called out. Everyone became quiet. Getting ready in case whatever it was had spotted them.

Scott watched the shadow move closer to them. Holding his breath as he watched it slowly step into sight in front of the gate. Scott let out a sigh as a fox appeared. "Just a fox", Scott reported. Everyone relaxed slightly.

"This is why I don't like the D.S.O, always make you guess when they're gonna turn up", Ivan muttered.

"How the hell are you a second in command? All you do is pick holes?", Jacks replied.

"The two of you. Shut up and do your fucking jobs", Chris ordered, "focus on the task at hand".

"Yes, sir", they eventually said through gritted teeth.

A few silent moments passed before Ivan called out. "Got something on the left". Glancing over, Scott watched something move through the woods a little way from the gate. He kept his gun trained on them as they stepped out into sight. "He's here let's move", Chris ordered as he got up and headed towards the gate.

Scott got up and followed him. They approached a man, who was wearing a leather jacket and had a side fringe that covered half of his face. He was busy checking if his pistol was loaded and whether the light attachment was working. "Leon", Chris greeted, "long time no see".

"I just wish it wasn't under these circumstances again", Leon replied solemnly. "I've scouted around a bit, nothing much to be seen. Most of the buildings have been destroyed, parks all rusted and falling to pieces. Not a soul in sight".

"Not much to go off then", Chris replied.

"Only your beacon", Leon grimly stated. "Look I know you're here for Sam as well as your guys. Just let me be there when you grab him, got some unfinished business".

"No promises let's see what happens", Chris stated. Leon nodded in understanding, "lead the way", he said as he indicated for them to enter the park. Chris nodded before he turned to look at them, "everyone, keep your eyes peeled, we don't know what Fox has in store for us". With that, Chris turned and entered the park. The four of them fell into formation behind him. Ivan and Leon behind Chris, while Scott and Jacks picked up the rear.
