I woke up feeling nothing. Like I didn't care anymore, I just wanted it to be over.  I walked into my bathroom seeing a reflection of my red, puffy face. I guess I was crying all night.

I was walking out of math class when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
H:um hey Annie
A:Hayden can we just go back to normal? I mean we finished our project and before that we didn't really like each other
H: yeah but we're friends now right?
A:sorry but I'm not friends with players *walks away*
I felt really bad but it wasn't my fault that Hayden had a girl over his house RIGHT AFTER I told him I was getting abused. As if I didn't know his name I sure did after last night.

J: so how's the bet going?
H:NOT good. She basically just said that everything is going to be the way it was before the project.
J: dang looks like someone isn't getting this money

Maybe Johnny was right. I shouldn't be breaking girls hearts. Well that's what I got out of his shitty feeling talk with me. I'll just use that to get Annie. You know, make her think I'm done being a player, make her fall in love with me, dump her, get 500$.

Today is the day, the day I'm gonna break up with Brennan. I don't know how he'll take it. But I can make a good guess. Hit me, slap me, kick me, call me a bunch of names, then leave. I can handle it. I'm walking home from school right now while I call him.

A:hey brennan
B:listen Annie about yesterday, I was drunk and you know when I'm drunk I can't control myself an-
A:brennan can you come over
B: oh your ready to do it?
A:NO! I meant just come over we need to talk.
B: fine I'll be over in 10

I continued to walk home when I hear footsteps coming closer. It was Hayden.
H:Annie can we talk?
A: what's there to talk about?
H: I just wanted to let you know that I don't want to do that anymore.
A:do what? There are many things you shouldn't want to do
H:being a player. I realized that what I'm doing is entirely wrong and I want to change
A: let's just see...
H:come on can we just be friends!?
A: you need to prove yourself to me before you can earn that title of being my friend
H:Deal!
We continued to talk about random things until we reached my house
H:I'll see you tomorrow

I immediately regretted calling Brennan to come over. As I opened my front door, Brennan pulled up in my driveway
B:Hey babe!
A:hey brennan, let's go inside
If you're wondering brennan is supposed to be in college but he took a gap year.
B:so what did you want to talk about?
A:well um l-lately I u-um
It was hard for me to speak when he was staring directly at me like he wanted to kill me. He probably did. Calm down Annie, rip off the band-aid.
A: brennan I don't know if you notice or not b-but. You say you only hurt me when you're drunk, but you're always drunk. And I don't feel the same way I did when I met you in the summer.
At this point he scooted his chair closer to mine
A:I just don't want to do this anymore because even if you care or not, you hurt me and that's not what a relationship is supposed to be. At least it's not what I want my first relationship to be. So..
