Kelvin POV :
"I'm going on a date with Jason" that is all I heard before I went upstairs an slammed my door. I know don't have any legitimate excuse, well not to Monique to act the way I just did, but to Michael he knows. When I saw Monique walk in the house I had to do a double take because I have never seen her look like that. Ms Gab used beautiful to describe how Monique looked in that outfit, but no that can't even explain it. She looked gorgeoiful. While Michael was flipping out about where she was going I couldn't help but look at those eyes, lips and the curves that were brought out with the outfit. She was my type of perfect. If she could give me one chance I would never mess it up. I remember last year she dated this dickwad who only used her to get free basketball tickets. I didn't understand how she always had free tickets but now I do. But if it's not the Miami Heat playing I don't care. I would love to just...
Michael: dude you cool down some
Me: I guess
Michael: dude was all that necessary downstairs
Me: you know how I feel about Monique
Michael: I know, the team know, shoot even coach figured it out. But none of us matter if Nique don't know. You need to tell her. Prom is in a few months, then graduation. You need to tell her how you feel. She might be my best friend but you my best male friend, I want both of you to be happy but you know if any guy causes her any harm I will kill for her.
Me: understood. Can you find out how the date went.
Michael: Yea.
Me: Oh yea, why haven't you and Monique ever dated before.
He didn't answer the question, he just walked out the room. I always wondered how he never tried to date Monique. They have the best chemistry. I wonder deep down do they have hidden feelings for each other. I don't think I could be just best-friends with Monique an not wonder what a relationship would be like with her. I'm not even a close friend of hers but I want to know what a relationship with her would be like. I have to ask Mike that question again. He had this look in his eyes that held a secret.Brandon POV:
That was a close one. I had to get out of there, before I spilled the beans. That question is one that will never be answered. I can't let anyone know about my true feelings for Monique. She is my best friend an I will not ruin it.Kelvin POV:
I decided to call my dad
Mr Dunkin: hey son.
Me: hey dad. I have a problem an I can't figure out what to do.
Mr Dunkin: does it have to do with that Wythe girl you mention every time we talk
Me: Yea
Mr Dunkin: well lay it on me son
Me: well she is currently on a date an I'm sitting in my room at Michael house contemplating if I'm good enough for her.
Mr Dunkin: look Kelvin, if you really like Monique then you need to tell her. She might say yes to a date, shoot she could actually like you like you like her.
I hung up the phone an flopped on the bed just starring up at the ceiling. I heard a car door close or should I say two car doors close. I looked out the window an see Monique and Jason talking outside his car. He walked her to the door, she gave him a hug an went inside the house. He drove off down the street.
She gave him a hug...hug..a freakin hug.
I still have a chance.
