I finally convinced Stephanie to come over, after almost 5 months of avoiding even passing in front of my apartment building I reassured her that everything was ok. Of course I could see she still felt uneasy, but she put on a brace face, like she always did, and walked home with me. "Wait! Wait..." she hesitated when I was just opening my door "Steph" I said as if my voice would snap her out of the idea that she was in danger "But what if your wrong? What if they don't like me so they attack me?" I sighted, of course she had a valid reason to feel this way but still I took her hand as a way of supporting her "Come on Steph... you must face this or you won't rest" I said. She gave me that "ugh" look she always gave me when I was convincing before grunted a long "fiiiiiiiine I'll do it". After taking a deep breath she walked in, of course, after I did. She was surprised to see the house so neat "I was expecting some hurricane or something but..." she kept looking around "Told you... I have beat boys" I said which made me laugh because Steph gave me a judgmental stare "It's a little quiet don't you think?" Stephanie questioned and I noted just how right she was. "Boys?" I called "oooh wait... you have permission to be seen... I um... forget Natemare told me I had to say that, otherwise they would remain unseen" I explained to Stephanie, who now had a wide eye look sprayed all over her face "oh my god" she whispered as the 3 beings stood before Steph "Hello Stephanie" Dark said in a rather welcoming tone and I could see her shoulder losses off the tension. Tonight Dark made dinner again, this time I caught on something, he always made these meals that could easily be taken out of a healthy magazine, it was weird because I don't eat like this and yet I've been doing just that ever since they arrived. Dark had offered taking Steph home but she refused, that she could defend herself which Dark seem to quickly understand as truth. I still walked her to the gate of my apartment complex, giving her a hug "honestly Jen, I'm glad you are ok... this... this is all weird I'm not gonna lie but as long as you are ok then I'm ok..." I smiled at her words "you worry too much Steph... go home and once you get home, immediately call me or text me, ok?" Stephanie laughed at my motherly orders "yes ma'am" she teased me before she walked away.

When I walked back into my apartment everything was cleaned and set, I took a deep breath because this insane situation had its perks, they all where trying to impress me and I was taking advantage of that, I couldn't help it. Some nights we would play board games, or video games like Anti wanted or just read, that was Mares favorite activity. Not tonight tho, I just had to ask Dark something, something that has been bothering me for the last few months. "Dark?" I said as I sat beside him, I don't know if he did it intentionally or what but he placed his arm around my shoulders before he pulled me closer to him. Of course I could had stopped him but I didn't want to. "Yes?" His deep echoey voice said. "That night... I was using my ouija board... the next day when I returned I couldn't find the pieces to put it back together... did you took it? So I wouldn't send you all back?" I asked, I noticed my question was unexpected but he still didn't let it completely slip "If I say yes, will that disappoint you?" He said. I hesitated, thinking for a bit before I shook my head "No not really... but I still need it back... it was part of my apartment decoration and I would really love to put it back where it belongs... it being broken gives it a whole new aesthetic look too" i said jokingly and he got it because i made him laugh, i seem to be the only person alive who can do that. He waved his hands and just before my eyes the two pieces materialized itself. "Ah... I haven't shown you my powers entirely have I?" He said as I took the pieces and laughed "No, Anti however he just loves showing his off" I said but then my face drops "Natemare... his powers scare me... I know he promise he wouldn't hurt me but..." I shook my head but I felt Dark's hand on my shoulder "don't mind him... I will never let him hurt you..." I looked at Dark, this sudden ache twisted in my chest so I hugged him, I don't know what made me do it, all I know is that I did it. I felt him hold me stronger and that made me feel very secure. I hesitantly pulled away from his embrace but he didn't let go, like he didn't want to. He had this expression in his eyes that just made me loose my conscience, it was him and me, time just stopped. "Jennifer" he said, and my whole body shiver "If I told you I had strong feelings towards you, would that ruin our friendship?" His question was out of nowhere but it still made me laugh which I could see it had confused him "Don't get me wrong I'm just... surprised... no Dark it wouldn't ruin it... I have feelings for you too... I mean I feel like I shouldn't, like... it will end in some tragic Romeo and Juliet thing but that's just some old family curse my dad convinced me of" I said but if he looked confused before, now he really was lost "curse? Tell me..." he said and then I saw this determination flash through his eyes. "Oh well... it's silly, my great great aunt she was in love with this guy, one day she left to this party and she was never found... actually dad told me they saw her lover once but that when asked, he didn't know who my aunt was... it kept happening, it happened to my other aunt and my second cousin... i Don't wanna be next..." i said, he had this serious look on his face so I nudge him "stop being so serious, is just some legend, I'm sure dad made it up to scare us" I said, and although he nodded and told me he was ok, I could sense the tension in the air.

After Dark had made sure the girl was back to her room, he stayed in the living room, thinking, analyzing. He understood the girl knew somewhat of what happened to her aunt, but not entirely. He had to make sure she's so infatuated with him that she would be willing to do anything for him. He spoke to the others, setting their play and the scenario for as tomorrow he'll be sure what the girl is capable of.

But speaking of her aunt made him think of her, of what happened, there was always this hint of remorse within him, maybe belonging to one of the spirits inside him, he had this sudden headache just thinking about it. And Jennifer looked slightly like her, and she was beautiful... but Dark stopped those thoughts, no, he can be falling for that girl, he had a plan here, a purpose that cannot be ruin for some human emotion that will only complicate everything. No, he had to do this... he had to.

Anti and Natemare notice the hesitation in Dark, something indeed was going on inside him, probably with the girl? They didn't question it However, this time they didn't want to test Dark's patience so they refrain themselves for even saying a foreshadowy comment. But they weren't wrong, and as much as he wanted to deny it, he was feeling what he was, he was falling for the girl and the plan was in motion.
