It's been about a week since I've moved in with Mac. All has been going great. I could tell my heat was coming in soon. Every time Mac touched me the sparks grew stronger, I'd wake up in the middle of the night breaking out in sweat and end up having to run to the kitchen for a glass of water. I just want this heat to get over and done with.
I'll admit I was nervous for my heat to come. I'll be on my own for three days before Mac finally comes. There's a high chance I could get pregnant with pups but again not really a 50/50 chance I don't know if I'm ready to be a mother just yet. We are heading back to the cabin today to say good bye to my parents who are leaving to head back to the pack house.
I'll miss them but I still have Nicholas with me. Our parents were really happy about him finding his mate. Soon once Nicholas turns twenty-one he'll be able to take over my fathers' pack, with Tessa leading beside him. While I'm in my heat Nicholas will take Mac away for three days to my old pack to help him get a few things ready for when he takes over. Then he'll come back.
When we had pulled up into the drive way Tessa and Nicholas were already here helping pack the car. Well Nicholas and my father were. Tessa and my mom were talking away on the porch.
Once I had gotten close enough to hear their conversation I knew they were talking about the guys. "What about them?" I asked my mother as I leaned against the railing. "Oh how your father is going to be backing down from the alpha title and Nicholas is going to be taking over soon. Its crazy how time flies." I nodded with her in agreement. Heck it felt like just yesterday I was packing to go to college and not I'm a graduate, living with my mate. The sound of a trunk being slammed close was our cue that the guys had everything packed up.
"Well I guess it's back home for us." My mother said rubbing her hands on her jeans. "I'm gonna miss you girls." She said wrapping us both in that motherly hug. I don't care who you are you can't say no to a mother hug! "We will visit. Any way you'll have Tessa there to keep you company." Tessa nodded a mumbled a 'mhm' "I'm only going to be gone for a week to take care of this one." She said using her thumb to point at me. I pushed her a little with my elbow just to play around. "Elena!" My father called to me I turned and walked to him. "Yes?" I asked now that we were away from the group.
"Here you need to keep this safe and it will be safe if its with you and Mac." He said placing the old and tattered leather book in my hands. "But what about all the other things down there?" I asked nodding towards the cabin. "It'll be fine trust me." He said laying his hand on my shoulder. "Let's go get your mother before we can't get her to leave." I follow at his pace to where everyone else was standing.
"Are you ready?" My father asked my mom. She nodded and hugged everyone before coming to me. "Be good. If you have any questions don't be afraid to call." She said as she embraced me in her warm hug.
My parents climbed in their car and drove off leaving us all standing there waving goodbye to theirs taillights. "Ready?" Mac asked as we headed back to his car. I nodded and climbed in after he had opened the door for me. "Whats the book?" Mac asked with curiosity. "Something my father gave me, I haven't really figured it all out yet." I replied running my hands over the cover of the book.
We arrived back at the pack house and i told Mac i was gonna take the book back to our room. I had placed it in the bedside table on my side of the bed. I felt my eyes get really heavy, I checked the time on my phone and seen it was only 11:00 a.m. "I guess a little nap wont hurt." I said to my self i lay on top of the bed wrapped in the fluffy blanket.
I soon felt darkness take over my body, and i welcomed it with open arms.
"Elena." I felt someone poking my face. "Elena." Their hand moved to my shoulder shaking me. I groaned not waiting to move. "Go away." I grumbled to the person. "Dinner is ready if you want to eat." That got my attention. Opening just one eye i see Mac kneeling next to the bed facing me. "What is it?" I asked my mouth starting to water a little and he hasn't even said what he cooked.
"Chicken with mashed potato's and a side of fruit." Oh my god! His chicken was to die for. "Im up!" I yelled getting to my feet and rushing to the bathroom to see what i looked like and i dreaded it. I needed to comb my hair and bad. After fighting with it for what seemed like forever. I made my way down the stairs to find Mac setting the table.
"Glad to see your awake now." He said smiling as he continued to set the table. "Mhm yeah whatever i was tired." He just laugh at me. "If your tired now wait till your heat it over." My face turned crimson with embarrassment and Mac saw it. "Oh come on its nothing to be embarrassed about. Every She-wolf goes through it." He said walking over to me and placing his hands on my waist.
"I know but still." I said leaning into him. He embarrassed me in a hug while rubbing my back. He kissed the top of my head before turning and placing food on our plates. It smelled amazing and i bet it tasted just as good. I waited until Mac had taking his seat across from me till i took the first bite of the chicken. "How is it?" He asked "Amazing!" I answered once i swallowed it.
We had finished the rest of the night watching movies in our room before we finally fall asleep. With my heat coming on and Mac's body heat surrounding me i felt like i would burst into flames at any moment.
