Meeting The Alpha

Cliff.

"Well where is she?" Mike asked as soon as i made my way into the house. "Back at her cabin with her family." I didn't know what emotion to feel. I needed her here with me so did my wolf but i didn't want to push her away. The look in her eyes when she tried getting away the first time hurt i wasn't going to go through that again.

"Why isn't she here?" Mike was my second in command, we've grown up together our whole lives. Mike found his mate about a year ago and ever since then he's been eager for me to find mine.

"Cause she needs to be with her family right now. She has one more month before she's of age. That and her father is making me prove myself to him I'm worthy enough to care for his daughter." Elena's father was intimidating he's a strong alpha and a great leader i can tell. And i know he has passed that down to Elena.

- Flashback to fathers speech -

"Come with me honey lets let them talk" Elena's mother pulled her away and into the cabin. Nicholas handed me shorts, that i took and changed in to.

"Let's take a walk Mac." I nodded my head following his lead. "I'm not gonna be like most dads and give you a speech and say if you hurt her ill hunt you down and kill you. She's my baby girl, my princesse. If you hurt her in any way you'll be sure to live everyday knowing what you did. She has one month till she is of age. You have until then to prove to me that you deserve her love." His eye pierced through me i never wanted to hurt her not on purpose anyway. "Yes sir." I bowed my head to him. "Good. One month remember. DarkNight Pack is where you will find us." With that him and Nicholas left me standing there stunned like a deer in headlights.

- end of flashback -

"Good luck with coming up with a plan." Mike said patting my shoulder.

I picked up my phone and called the only person i know who could help.

I woke with a stretch just before my bedroom door flew open and Nicholas came flying in. "WAKE UP!" No mater how many times i say i don't miss him i'm lying. "Nooo." i whined "C'mon lets go for a run please!" He begged jumping on my bed. "Fine I'm up I'll meet you out side." He is the best twenty-two year old i know that knows how to have fun and be mature when needed."YES!"

I slipped on some old shorts and a tank top since I'll be shifting in a few minutes anyway.

I made my way to the kitchen to find my mom cooking and my dad drinking coffee. "Good morning mom good morning dad!" I grabbed a cereal bar before heading to meet Nicholas. "Where you headed?" My father asked. "Just a run with Nicholas." I replied looking to my mom for help. "Breakfast will be done soon don't be gone long." With a nod i met Nicholas behind the cabin. "Ready?" He asked. "Yup." We went behind two different tree for privacy and soon shifted.

-My lead or yours?- He challenged

-Try and keep up- I challenged back. We took off running into the woods. letting my wolf have control. every once in a while we'd jump a puddle or a fallen tree. But just the feeling of running and the air through my fur was bliss.

-Of course you'd run along here.- I could hear the smirk in Nicholas's voice, I hadn't known where we were till i really payed attention. -I was just letting my wolf have control didn't mean to come here.- We ended up at Mac's border. My wolf sat down and Nicholas sat beside me. -Call him ill go back to the cabin- Before i could protest Nicholas was already getting up.

I raised my snout into the air and howled. Not a howl of worry or distress, pain or sadness. But just a call to him.

At first he wasn't coming. My senses weren't picking up anything either. Little bit of disappointment shot throughout my heart as i got up to leave. "Going somewhere?" He asked. He was in human form and dressed in sharp dress pants and a crisp white shirt and dark black tie. I turned quickly and run to him bushing against his legs. He bent down to my level and scratched my head. "I missed you." He said quietly i almost missed it. I pushed my head into his hand more as to agree with him.

"I want to stay but i have pack business to tend to this morning. I have a surprise for you at seven tonight be ready." His eyes held so much emotion i didn't know which one to focus on. "Get going i can hear your brother calling." I was to focused on Mac to hear my brother was actually calling me.

I trotted off, with one last glance at Mac who now crossed back to his border sending a wink my way.

Breakfast was amazing like normal my mother was the best cook i could ask for. especially after all that collage food. "How was the run?" My father asked us "It was good." Nicholas and I answered at the same time. "Did you see Mac?" He asked, I froze I didn't know what to do. I looked to Nicholas for help. "I can smell him on you Elena." He was angry but why we didn't do anything "Father nothing happened I wanted to see him i called to him and he came to see me, he touched my head that's all." I've never talked back to my father really ever this was a shock to all of us. "He has to prove himself Elena. If he is not strong enough to care and protect you from things he cant have you!" He yelled as he slammed his fist on the table.

"He's My mate! I should be the one to make the decision not you! I came here to relax after collage and before coming home and to say this in the best way possible to get away from you guys. He has nothing to prove to me! He's coming here at seven to get me for a surprise don't expect me home early." I stormed up from the table and to my room. I heard my mom calling my name but i couldn't do it right now I came here for space and god forbid if i get it.

I climbed out my bedroom window to avoid my family like normal. i stayed in my human form and walked to one of my favorite spots in the woods.

About fifteen minutes later I arrived to the spot. A small cliff just above the lake. I sat quietly for a good twenty minutes before something or someone caught my attention. I turned to see another girl walking out of the woods and closer to me.
