Chapter 4: Coffee

Andy's POV

"Hey" I see someone trying to wake me up. "Andy" they said so softly. I see them smiling at me when they said "Andy wake up, c'mon babe" as they slightly shake me. I realized it was Ashley, Ashley was trying to wake me up. I smile up at him and he returns one back. I hug him then add all of my weigh on top of him so we could cuddle a bit, but in an awkward cuddle. "Lemme sleeeeeep...pwease" I whine. He smirks and says "Okay then love," as he adjusted himself to me in a more comfortable position. It was nice, his warmth and his hands slowly running through my hair, although it was more like petting me, head pats. I allowed him to do so until I fell back asleep. 

"Andy" I heard a female voice, it was nice and sweet, sounding like she was smiling. "C'mon wake up please," I heard her whine. Juliet's voice is always nice, so comforting. I flutter my eyes a bit to see her smile visually instead of imagining it. I smile up at her and say "Lemme sleep" as I find a pillow to hold. I adjust myself and I felt like this happened before but with a different person. "If you don't wake up, I'm gonna tickle you" she warned. I groaned, "try me," she took the challenge and started to tickle me, hitting every point that makes me laugh most but yet so agonizing. Honestly, I didn't think she was going to but she did. I should've known she would, I mean we've been dating for a while and we practically live together. "Ahh! Okay! Okay! I'll get up!" but she continued then suddenly, I rolled off the couch. I landed and made an 'oof' sound. "Whoops" was all she said. I half groaned and laughed at the same time. "Are you going to wake up now?" she asked me, as he came closer with her claws ready to attack again. I quickly got up on my feet with a slight jump and exclaimed, "I'm awake!" She giggled and apologized.
"You slept on the couch. I thought you were asleep on the bed?" Juliet said.
"I was trying to but I couldn't seem to sleep so I went to check up on you and saw that you were asleep. You little potato" I said with a small chuckle and she smiled up at me. I trailed on to saying, "I guess I was pretty tired." 
"It's okay, I'm not mad." she replied. She so perfect and so understanding. "Kiss?" she asked. 
"Hell yeah" I said as I grinned largely and kissed her.  At first it was just a peck but it turned into a small make out session. God I loved her so badly. I felt her smile and her hands running through my hair. After a while we pulled again, and she said "Good morning" I replied with a smile and kissed her forehead while I looked at her beautiful eyes. She's so cute. Suddenly, at the side of my eye, I saw my phone screen light up, I had a message. I bent over to pick up my phone, and I felt her observing me before she turned and said she was going to take a shower. "Okay love" she came over to me and pecked my cheek before leaving. 

I read the message and it came from Ashley.

<Ashley: Good Morning :)

 <Andy: Morning 

I smiled at the emoji thing he sent. It looked weird but eh, I've seen it before. I looked at my phone a bit longer and I didn't know what to reply with. Then I thought my 'Morning' was a bit too bland or maybe I made it sound like I was mad or something. I don't know. Then after a moment he replied with "Hey, could we get coffee or something?" Thank god! I remembered from a couple days ago.

<Andy: Yeah, of course, where at?

<Ashley: Maybe at Starbucks?

<Andy: Sure

<Ashley: Cool, does 10 sound okay to you?

I look at the time and it was 8:46 AM then it turn to 8:47 AM. Yeah, sounds alright. 

<Andy: Yeah, sounds okay. 

<Andy: The Starbucks close to me or you?

<Ashley: You

I thought to myself, okay so it's going to take about 15 minutes to get to Starbucks. Then suddenly a question came to mind..."What will I wear?

I walk upstairs into the closet and glance about for something decent to wear. I found a 'Kiss' tee shirt, a random flannel, normal black skinny jeans and combat boots and along with Sailor Moon socks, I mean, no one is going to see it so what the hell. I headed to the restroom to run into Juliet. "Woah, hey hun" she said. "Hey uh, I'm going over to Starbucks with Ashley, did you want to tag along?" I say. She stood there for a while and said she was going to run some errands. I smiled and asked if there was anything she wanted, a pink drink with a sprouted grain vegan bagel. I kissed her on the forehead and said "Okay." 
I went the restroom and skipped the shower, I thought to take and went to my hair routine, brush hair, slightly tease, hair spray, more teasing, a tad more hair spray and a tad of more brush of the hair. Turning to my face. Washing my face with a superfood cleanser by 'Youth to the People.' It's alright, then I applied a bit of lipstick and the usual light touch of eyeliner. As for accessories, I put on a studded belt and a cross earring on my left side. 
I headed downstairs and yelled a bit, "I'm off Hun" "Okay"
"Love you!" "Love you too babe!" she replied back. "Oh don't forget bagel and pink drink!" I laughed a bit at her exclaim the looked for the keys. As I found them, I left. 

I finally arrived at Starbucks, and then went inside. I instantly looked for Ashley and caught him waiting in line, I cut to his position in line and mentally apologized to the people in the back of us. "Hey Ash" I said. "Oh hey Andy" He smiled. I smiled back as I said "haha yeah, that's my name" then silence occupied us "don't wear it out" I continued the phrase with an odd finger gunning. I mentally slapped myself for doing that. "So, how was your morning?" He said to possibly make it feel a bit comfortable.  I replied "It was good, although it sure did take a while getting ready haha" he laughed at my response. His laugh is so cute. We went into silence, an uncomfortable silence to say.
"How's Juliet?" he asked, seeming to try and break the peace between us. "Juliet seems great, lovely as always" it's true, Juliet is amazing and beautiful and she's so perfect and that's why I love her. It sucks that I can't tell Ashley about my feelings yet, I thought to myself.
"Hi, what can I get you?" I was interrupted by the cashier. Ashley took a quick scan at the menu then said "Um can I get a Caramel Mocha, please" saying it with a smile in the end. "What size?" The cashier asked. "Grande, is fine," "And for you sir?" I got startled as I was staring at the floor for a while. "Oh, um a Pink Drink and a Sprouted Grain Vegan bagel please with .. and  for the size a tall" I just asked for Juliet's order  "Okay so one Caramel Mocha, size Grande and a tall sized Pink Drink correct?" the cashier asked. "Ah, yes" Ashley replied, "and that would be 13 dollars and 32 cents."
I pulled out my wallet and gave Ashley 5 dollars, he looked at it but he rejected it saying "It's fine, I'll pay for it, Andy" I insisted Ashley that he would take the $5 but he rejected again. I insisted again, then he gave in and took the $5 but he slipped 15 dollars to the cashier along with the $5 I gave him. The cashier gave Ashley the extra change, and he gave me my 5 dollar bill back. "Oh and what's your name" the cashier said. Ashley responded simply with "Andley," "Okay have a nice day, sir" The cashier smiled at us, and told us to have a nice day and our coffee would be ready in a second.
We waited for our coffee, and tried to occupy ourselves by sparking a conversation. "Can I take a picture with you?" Ashley said trying to spark that conversation. "Yeah sure" Oh my Gawd, I'm taking a picture with Ashley freaking Purdy. Ashley takes out his phone and enters his password. I couldn't seem to catch it, he type it in so fast. I looked at his wallpaper and it was Ashley, Juliet and me, I think it was the last time we took a picture together.

"Andy" I saw another waved hand in my face. I blinked my eyes then looked at Ashley. "You were staring again", I quickly responded with "What was I staring at?" I really didn't think that, I just said it. He looked at me in a weird sort of face, then said "You were um, staring at my phone then I moved my phone and uh you were staring at my uh.." Ashley whispered that last part to me but all I can make of it was couch. His couch? I didn't get it. "Sorry, oh the picture" I said reminding us that we were going to take a picture together. "Oh right haha" we got back on track. We looked at the phone screen to take a selfie together. I got a little close to Ashley's face, he held up the phone "Andy, my arm hurts a bit", "Sorry" we took a few photos with different faces in each of them. We laughed as we did them.

"Andley!" one the employees said. "Ah, our order" Ashley said. We got the counter and I got Juliet's Pink Drink along with the bagel. We went outside knowing it's time to part ways. "I better get home to Juliet" I said. "Yeah, well it was fun" he said with a 'Purdy' smile. Haha, I just made that joke.  I smiled back then went to my car. I started the engine and drove home.
