Before I could tell her about myself, precisely about my profession I heard the loud screeching of the breaks and sight before us made both of us gasp in terror and disgust.

I never realized when we made it to the town.

I was too busy in listening and staring at her.

I wanted to see her so that she gets etched in my memory and heart. After seeing her, the desire to look at the other surroundings died. A death which was joyous for me.

But my reverie was broken by the horrid scene that lay before us.

Masked men were setting fire to public transport and even to the police station. They were throwing pebbles, sorry stones.

The sound of screams, trouble, explosions and shattering glasses forced me to get out and help them. To help those people, even if they were unknown to me or policemen.

I quickly ran out of the jeep. I saw a woman crying for help. I had to help her this is my... No...
This is not my job but it is for humanity for my myself.

"Stop! You might get hurt it's dangerous." I hear her shout. Fear and concern clearly visible. Instantly she followed me.

"You don't need to worry. No one does."
Without thinking anything I drove myself towards the damsel, held her hand and used a left hook for the scourge.

"Thanks a lot "the woman tried to say between her labored breaths .

As I turned around I saw Avni helping other policemen and civilians who were helpless.

As she was busy assisting them a man with a fire torch in his hand heading towards her.
Without wasting another millisecond I jumped forward and held his hand.

I was surprised at his inactiveness and I quickly kicked his knee making him incapacitate to walk.
I removed his bandana and it shocked me to my core to see him.

"Aayush" I exclaimed in astonishment. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I hugged him and immediately stepped back remembering the reason.

"What are you doing here? Wait! Why are you doing this?" I asked. My voice firm and angry.

All this time Avni was there listening with utmost concentration.

"Neil" his voice meek.

"Neil how do you know him? Such men deserve to be behind the ba...."

He cut her off in the middle and said rudely," You stay out of this. And Neil stop helping these people even you know how much they made us go through."

I took a deep sigh. Not of relief but of pain.

" Look I understand your pain but.. "I tried to complete.

" What is he saying Neil? Who made you go through and what?" She sounded irritated.

" Avni please let me handle this "I begged, keeping a finger on my lips indicating her to be quiet.

" I have seen you breaking down Neil. I have seen you getting shattered. Like you saw me we know what it feels like to be acc... "Aayush said. I could feel how broken yet lost he was.

" I am not supporting you. We were innocent then but not this time, not you." I raised a finger towards him.

Life gives everyone choice. Choices to either stay strong or to breakdown and get carried away with something you shouldnt..

You can either destruct or construct your life . No one else can.

After a lot of effort the cops were able to calm the mob. And arrest the guilty.

There were many young men who were unaware of the reason they were indulging in such an act.

I laughed bitterly seeing them. I pitied them.

The lack of guidance can turn angel to devil.

Finally after the entire fiasco ended, albeit with the arresting of Aayush by her hands I looked at my surroundings.

All i could see was colossal rubble and remanents of burning vehicles and shattered glasses.

It hurt me. I was so afraid of destruction.

I saw her approaching towards me and I knew what she was going to question about.

But I wasn't ready to answer her.

I shut my eyes and quickly stormed off that place.
Leaving behind a confused and curious soul.
