Chapter 21 Wonderland

We all need to find our wonderland .

They couldn't get whether the time went slow or fast but soon it was dawn.

Finally their destination arrived.

As soon as Neil removed his helmet he  felt  slight tickling movement of her petite hands around him and her head on his shoulders.

Clutching him closer , if possible
she gave a dreamy smile before murmuring.

Mujhe nhi uthna. Please.

Avni's face displayed a different kind of a smile. Something Neil didn't know the reason for. Moreover he couldn't care less about the reason .

All that mattered was her smile.

Falling badly ! But then who wants to stop falling when it's falling in love.

Right now her friendship was his priority. And never in his wildest dreams would he want her to break this friendship because of his unknown feelings. Emotions which according to him were destructive.

For him certain things are better a secret.

~Especially the Secrets of the heart ~

After a lot of efforts Avni was awake just in time.
As she opened her eyes what lay before her was a masterpiece of nature .

An untouched one.

The crystal blue water rushed towards the soft white sand , then touched it and ran away.

Only to come back again.

The sun was yet to show up. Once again they sat on the wet sand looking at the horizon to witness the rising sun.

The sky slowly changed colours from dark blue to light blue and then to orange. Slowly the pink colour diffused above the rising sun .
And all it felt was magical!

Noone spoke. Their eyes fixated at the wonder before them.

Not them but their silence talked to each other.

The loudness of their heartbeats made them wonder whether they are feeling it or hearing it.

We found wonderland
You and I got lost in it
And we pretended it could last forever, eh

And life was never worse but never better

As the sun rose higher Avni and Neil looked at each other just like the sky and earth before them did.

Good morning.

Both of them said in unison before bursting into bouts if laughter , again.

Today Avni found her wonderland. It was not a place, definitely not,  but it was an emotion. The one she experienced right now with Neil.

Quite likely he was her wonderland.
A wonder in himself.

After spending some me time
in the noisy silence. Avni decided to add her voice to enhance the music of the waves.

Neil . I wanted to tell you something.

And then he listened to her .

I was ten years old. My papa ,My maa and I lived in our Home. And dad's decisions made daadi hate us.
I guess she was right when she once called me a misfortune.

Avni!
Neil interrupted her and his eyes expressed what he wanted . He extended his hand and utilized them to hold hers.

It gave her the much needed courage to tackle the difficulties she was experiencing while reminiscing her worst nightmare which turned into reality. With a shivering voice she revealed.

My one mistake and everything was over. I lost everything.
