Chapter 4- The New School Part 2

This '____' stands for thoughts while this "____" is for outloud. I will return to my old format when it is just back and forth between 2 or more characters (Old format: When a name has : after it, it means they are speaking out loud. If the name has a - after it, it means this is what they are thinking in their head. This *_____* is just narration)

Morning comes and I finish getting ready. I've never really eaten breakfast that much so I just go straight to school. I also go a little bit earlier to avoid Saiki. How am I going to explain yesterday? Uuugggghhhh.... whatever since I'm here early I might as well check out that book on dark matter from the library. 

*As the school day begins more kids begin to flood the library and the school. Toritsuka enters the school bugging Saiki about what happened yesterday. The rumors seemed to fly like crazy*

Toritsuka: So did you kiss her, no you wouldn't do something like that. How did she react? I heard she was blushing like crazy, what did you do? Will you help set me up with her? Can you take a look at her panties for me? Why won't yo...

Saiki: Be quiet before you find yourself on the moon or the floor of the ocean

Toritsuka: ....

Saiki: Thank you

Teruhashi begins to walk up to Sofia, her thoughts filled with jealousy and confusion. 'Why did she try to pull my Saiki into that room, wait a minutes 'my Saiki'? I don't like him I just want him so say "Oh!" to me,... that's it.... right? There's no way I can like him, he's always been so straight faced and emotionless to everything.' 

Sofia- oh boy, I better find a way out to avoid mostly everyone who would interact with everyone. Also I need to ask Kusuke for a new pair of earrings because these mine got cracked so I had to wear my old power restrainer earrings, which are annoyingly large.

Teruhashi: Hi Sofia, what a surprise running into you here and yesterday

Sofia- What do you mean surprise you were stalking me all of yesterday and today that reminds me I need to scan the minds of those closest to Saiki to gain some clues as to why I can't read Saiki's mind. Hopefully I won't need to approach Saiki again, in order to solve this dilemma.

Sofia: Yes it is very strange. By the way I know we have only just met but can you introduce me to some friends?

Teruhashi: Oh of course! After all most of us tend to hang out in a big group which includes Nendo, Kaido, Yumehara, Mera, and Kyboyasu. Though I feel like Toritsuka, Aiura and Saiki share like some special secret, I'm probably being paranoid, right?

Sofia: Who knows maybe they do, maybe they don't. We can't read their minds so we'll never know.

Sofia- Interesting, I now know that the people I should check first are Toritsuka and Aiura. Aiura was there when I ran out of the classroom so I'll deal with her later it'll be more of a hassle. Then looks like I have to find Toritsuka.

Teruhashi: Yeah I guess you're right....

Sofia: Well I have to go now class is going to start soon and I need to check out my books

*Both of the girls say their byes and Sofia check out her books. On her way to class she sees a girl being harassed by some weird purple haired dude and a white band around his head*

Sofia: Hey can't you see that she already thinks that you're a creep in the 30 seconds you've talked to her

Toritsuka- WHOA she's super cute and pretty. Curves in all the right places, but for some reason her expression reminds me of Saiki so straight faced

Toritsuka: Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize it's just this girl has stolen my heart and I've been trying to take it back (girl blushes in background)

Sofia- It's true what they said about him, how he's a total pervert and that he is a medium who can chanel spirits

Sofia: oh yeah then how about you stop channeling spirits first then see if she likes you for your regular perverted self

Toritsuka: how did yo.....

Sofia: During our 10 minute break today go talk with Saiki for a bit then come to me

*Sofia walks away at a medium pace in order to get to class on time. As she reads Torritsuka's mind she hears him talking about how did she figure out he was channeling a spirit and what did she want with him. Class begins and the day goes on as usual. Toritsuka approaches Saiki during the 10-minute break*

Toritsuka- I hope he doesn't threaten to teleport me to the moon or bottom of the ocean, he honestly scares me sometimes

Sofia- 'teleport'??? Is he also a psychic? Is that why I can't read his mind?

Toritsuka: Hey Saiki! Long time no see!

Saiki: You saw me this morning, what do you mean 'Long time no see'

Toritsuka: errr..... ummm.... 

Saiki: You're just trying to strike up a conversation am I right?

Toritsuka- Shoot how am I supposed to talk to him? I wonder why that hot transfer student wanted me to talk to him either way?

Saiki: Oh it that so? Sofia put you up to this no wonder...

Toritsuka: Yeah she somehow knew this morning that I was channeling spirits, then asked me to talk to you and then go to her afterwards.

Saiki: Ok then lets go

Toritsuka: What?! You mean together??

Saiki: Yes, hurry up

*They walk over to Sofia's desk. Sofia decides to take another risky move, she decides to call out that Saiki is a psychic*

Saiki: Hey Sofia, I jus...

Sofia: A psychic, huh? That explains how you are able to talk with your mouth closed... It also explains the other person who was using telepathy, It was you Saiki..

Saiki: ......How did you figure it out?

Sofia: Is i not obvious enough? I'm a psychic, I read Toritsuka's mind when he was talking with you and heard him talk about your powers. 

Saiki: So psychics really are naturally attracted to this place, but aren't you afraid of anyone else finding out about our powers?

Sofia: Look around you right now, everyone is frozen. One of my abilities is to freeze time for a maximum of 5 minutes. The drawbacks are I can only take up to 2 people of my choice with me and I become exhausted afterwards.

Saiki: So some of our powers are the some and some are not, I see. I do know 2 of your powers now: Telepathy and Time freeze

Sofia: Don't think I'm just going to freely reveal all my powers to you

Saiki: Don't expect anything from me either. My guess is that when you and I had the same thoughts we could communicate, maybe we can allow our minds to be read by each other and make communication easier.

Sofia: Well our time is running out and I'm going to go home early so that I don't pass out in the middle of the school day. Please collect the rest of my homework when the day ends. 

Saiki: Ok

Sofia: RELEASE

*Time resumes as normal and Sofia collapses into her chair quite loudly, some boys come rushing to her asking if she is ok. She replies in a calm voice that she is fine but just felt a little dizzy*

*Sofia makes her way to the office and asks if she can leave early, gets permission then waits for the 10-minute break to end so that no one will see her teleport away*
