Chapter 12- Winter Break Escape

This '____' stands for thoughts while this "____" is for talking/using telepathy out loud. I will return to my old format when it is just back and forth between 2 or more characters (Old format: When a name has : after it, it means that they are speaking out loud. If the name has a - after it, it means this is what they are thinking in their head. This part *_____* is just narration or small descriptions) 

Sofia turns to Kusuo just before the bell rings. 'So how are we going to escape, without our schedule filling up? I vote for saying we'll go on a cruise' 'No way, people will ask for pictures and ask even more questions when we come back' Kusuo nags. 'Do you really think I would just say something like that without a plan? I've been on cruises before, I can simply post videos and photos with no one in them on different days and add descriptions of random stuff we did. Good enough?' Sofia cleverly returns. 'But what if we are seen outside when we are supposed to be on our "cruise"?' questioning her plan. 'We're psychics and geniuses I'm sure we can think of something ;)' 'Jeez, your plans are always half thought-out' Sofia ended up laughing out loud confusing the kids who were sitting around her because she hadn't said anything and no one has talked to her. "Sorry" she replied to the class's confusion "I just remembered a funny joke someone told me" Teruhashi but in "Oh? What was the joke" with a little attitude. Teruhashi Had been in a bad mood the past couple of days causing devastation across the school, but Sofia and Kusuo were unaffected. Sofia's usual cheerful personality was countering Teruhashi's depression, to the point were she actually gave up. "Well actually they're a bunch of puns which I loved to make you laugh with but class is going to end in 5 seconds" Sofia replied while also packing her things. "What no wa-*riiiigns*" "Bye Teruhashi"

Sofia runs out of class and is naturally a fast runner without her powers. She managed to pull Saiki to their lockers before most kids got there. They changed their shoes and Sofia emptied the love letters out of her locker into her bag, and they dashed for it all they way home.

Sofia: Hahahaha that looks on Teruhashi's face was priceless. I would pay 1000 yen to see that again.

Saiki: You know that 1000 yen isn't as much as I expect most people to say

Sofia: Who said I'd ever wast my money on her? Come on I want to check out the sales they have on coffee jelly.

Saiki: There's a sale?!

Sofia: You know I don't always spout random nonsense..... *pout*

The way to the store was difficult enough as they spotted Nendou and Kaidou. They were almost found by Nendou, but Kusuo freaked out and teleported them to the top of a building. "You're extremely lucky no one saw us." Sofia says with a sigh of relief. They got to the store and almost immediately ran into Teruhashi. Big trouble. Kusuo used invisibility to grab the coffee jelly and Sofia and sneak up to the front. Strangely enough there was one register that was completely open even though the others are filled. 'Sofia?' Kusuo questions. 'Yeah empathy. I convinced the other customers that he was too disgusting. Don't worry it'll wear off once we leave the store' Using x-ray vsion both of them jump out of the way for the entrance, and hid in a nook together. 

Kusuo- That was a little too close for comfort

Sofia- Yeah

They both look back at each other and freeze, their faces were inches apart. Sofia was the first to climb out of the nook, then Kusuo followed. Both of them checking all directions as the person they almost ran into was Hairo. They escaped the store and managed to get home fairly easily. They discussed about what they should do for break.

Sofia: why don't we go to a tropical island for a day, just us?

Kusuo: why?

Sofia: because i like the beach?

Kusuo: What about going to a festival next to my grandparents town

Sofia: YES! I've never been to a festival in japan, apparently the are very different from american festivals.

Kusuo: Oh? What are festivals like in America?

Sofia: Well you can normally expect it to be completely packed with people, like going on a crowded train in japan, but also there's fireworks, parades with beaded necklaces throw to the people from the floats, LOUD concerts and performances, and some small games or activities. Maybe like a color run or something.

Kusuo: What are color runs?

Sofia: Oh color runs are where you run through non-toxic paint powder and at the end you're covered in different vibrant colors. They are usually run for charities or a celebration.

Kusuo: Huh, those sound a lot more fun than our traditional stuff.

Sofia: I guess its like that thing: Curly haired people want straight hair, and stright haired people want curly hair. You want what you don't have.

Kusuo: We can probably go on the 27th. That way my parents, grandparents, you, and I can spend new years together.

Sofia:O-Oh that's perfect we can go to the beach before then.

Kusuo: You really want the beach don't you?

Sofia: *Yawn* yeah. *falls asleep on Saiki*

Kurumi: Kuu-chan~ We're home~ Oh *smiles*

Kusuo: Yes mother?

Kurumi: Oh maybe later~

Kusuo: I see you ran into my friends on the way here and they told you about Sofia and I.

Kurumi: They also told me they hope you have fun on your cruise, you don't normally lie......

Kusuo: It was her idea, and it worked for the most part.

Kurumi: At least put her in her room so she can be comfortable.

Kusuo: Ok, I already finished my coffee jelly so I'll go to sleep too.

Kurumi: But you can't i invited your friends over!~

Kusuo: Oh *mood darkens*. Well I just take her up. *Saiki picks up Sofia in his arms and teleports away. He places her on her bed underneath her covers* 

Kusuo- Sleep tight, Sofia *kisses her forehead*

Kurumi: Cute

Kusuo: *jumps* How did you get up here so fast and quietly?!

Kurumi: I just assumed you would place her on her bed and not under the covers.

Kusuo: I'm not that insensitive. Also you never answered my question

Kurumi: Nevermind that, your friends are here.

Kusuo: Fine.

Kusuo then proceeds the night in torment of hanging out with Kaidou,  Nendou, Hairo, and worst of all Teruhashi. She tried to woo him all night but only got the attention of the others. Sofia ended up waking up from the noise and joined them. Sofia easily captured the attention of the boys away from Teruhashi. 'Now you know why I used mind control in the beginning of the school year.' The thing that ticked off Teruhashi the most was how even Kusuo laughed at Sofia's jokes and how she called him Kusuo, but everyone else called him Saiki. To push her further Sofia gave a big yawn and fell asleep on Kusuo's shoulder. Kusuo picked her up like a gentleman and carried her up the stairs. When he came back down everyone was saying their goodbyes to Kurumi, after all it was getting late. Teruhashi Tried to plant a kiss on Kusuo but he turned around before she could. They all said their goodbyes and told Kusuo to have fun on his cruise.
