It's been about a month now since Monique and I have really spoken. I could only assume it was because of the distance and her losing interest. I've done my hardest to get in contact with her though.
She barely answers my texts, rarely picks up my calls, and when she does, the conversations are short and awkward. So I've really got no other option but to fly out there to see her.
But unfortunately that wasn't an option at the moment. It's currently April and I'm planning for my HBOAFM Tour this summer. Personally, I believe this is bouta be the best tour yet. The line up I got for my openers is gon be wild.
Besides that, I've just been busy with life in general. I guess I've been "talking" to some people but nothin too serious.
Technically I was a single man since I never made nun between Nique and I a real thing. My people were currently trying to make me pull of this publicity stunt with Rih to help boost her sales in her makeup career. I ain't really wanna do it, but it's like I've got no option.
Rih and I were on our way to the Clippers game and I just couldn't wait for the night to be over with. I drove down the road thumping my thumb against the steering wheel.
"So what are we doing after the game?" She suddenly asked. I glanced over to her, slightly unamused. "Can we get to the game first please? Damn, why are you in such a rush?" I said trying to focus back onto the road.
"I don't know Chris. Maybe it's the fact that I have to be here with you." "You think I want to," I spat back at her. "This is all your fault anyway. You couldn't have thought of anyone else to help get you some attention?" I questioned.
She shrugged facing the window.
God, did she annoy the hell outta me. This is exactly why things between us ain't last. Too many disagreements.
I'm gon always have love for her, but over the years she's changed and just gives me this bad taste in my mouth.
We finally rolled up to the game and I pulled into valet. They took my keys and we hopped out walking towards the entrance. This time around there were plenty of paparazzi and fans especially since we had arrived to the game just on time.
Eventually we got to our seats and we were slightly distant. I pulled out my phone and decided to give Nique another try.
"nique nique. talk to me baby, please. i miss u like crazy."
I sent the text, sighing to myself quietly.
Rih glanced over to me with an eyebrow raised. "What's got you so upset?" I rolled my eyes and paid my attention to the game. "You." I mumbled.
She shook her head, ignoring me for pretty much the rest of the night. All I know is ima be so happy once I can drop her ass off at home.
Monique's POV
"What are you burning down there boy?!" I yelled, making my way down the stairs quickly.
"Don't worry about it, I've got it!" DeAndre yelled back. I entered the kitchen to see he and my mom fanning the air out as they pulled out a pizza from the oven.
"Seriously, y'all can't even bake a pizza without burning it? Ma, how could you out of all people manage to let this happen?" I laughed, standing back with my arms crossed.
The smoke alarm then started to go off and I couldn't help but bust out into laughter.
My ma was never one to be great at cooking, but she usually made do with whatever we had. I eventually helped them out and got another one in.
