Times were shaky. Changes had occurred that shifted all the world's perspective. The android revolution that had been led by Markus had altered the public opinion for a positive outcome for androids. However, a lot of changes had yet to happen, especially when it came to laws concerning both human and android interactions in the public and private sectors of life. With no definitive laws for the time being, the tension between aggressive androids and humans would inevitability clash, and the results would be destructive every time.
With the more violent cases involving any form of android involvement, Lieutenant Hank would be put on it. Alongside Hank was Connor. Connor had turned deviant and was free from Cyberlife's input. Connor was free to choose what he wanted to do. It was not hard to decide. The most logical choice was to remain Hank's partner. That way, he could keep Hank safe while also giving his input and expertise on the android details of cases. After all, he understood more about androids since he was one. Connor still needed Hank to help with the human parts of life, mostly emotions. Sure, having become a deviant himself, he could distinguish when he felt these emotions in his system; but he had to attempt describing them to Hank sometimes to figure out what they meant.

Today was another day at the DCPD. Connor and Hank were sitting at their desks a bit bored. They had yet to be assigned a case. They had already cleaned out their backlog of cases. It was a great thing but...
"Hey Hank." Connor said.
"What?" Hank said in between his bites of a chocolate-coated donut.
"I'm feeling another emotion."
"Mmm?" Hank chewed on his deep-fried sugary snack as Connor continued.
"I'm experiencing a lack of...excitement? I have no directive at the moment, but it seems as if I have to do something or I will keep experiencing no excitement."
Hank let a chuckle slip from him as he reached for his cup of hot, black coffee. "That, my friend, is called 'boredom'."
"Boredom?" Connor added the word to his data-bank and connected it to the lack of excitement he was feeling. "I don't think I like this 'boredom' emotion much."
"Well, nobody likes being bored, Connor." Hank had to think of something quick or else Connor was going to quickly start a string of questions that he would have to answer. "Listen, why don't you do something so that you won't be bored?"
"Such as?"
"Such as...uh. Organizing the files on your computer system." Hank suggested.
"I would do that." Connor said bluntly. "However, that task was done the same day my position as your partner, along with this desk, were officially assigned to me by Captain Fowler."
"Of course you did." Hank sighed. "How about you go wander around the department? Learn about everyone who works here and their specific area of expertise in this place."
"I did that the same day of my official instatement as your partner too, Hank."
Hank smiled. Finally, he saw a way he could get the one-up on Connor. "Are you sure about that?"
Connor was processing the question intensely, the circle on his right temple blinking between blue and yellow. "What are you implying? Is there someone I have yet to meet?"
Hank pointed to someone behind Connor, towards the walkway on the opposite side of the room. Connor turned his head to see a new face walk towards Captain Fowler's office. He did a quick scan on them to gain the necessary data.
