"we should play the mafia game," said donghyuck, emerging in a fluffy cow onesie once they were all dried off and in pyjamas.

"what is that," jeno said, staring at donghyuck's outfit in horror.

"it's a cow onesie!" donghyuck said in his own defence, "xiyeon likes it, she thinks it's cute."

"i think it's ugly," said jeno, and he tried to shield his eyes from the cow monstrosity.

"i think you're ugly," donghyuck snorted, plopping himself down on the nearest beanbag.

"hey," jeno protested, rather unenthusiastically.

"it's not even an opinion, jeno, it's common knowledge," donghyuck went on in that irritating teasing tone, "come on, who agrees with me that jeno's ugly?"

everyone except renjun raised their hand.

"yeah, well we all saw that coming," donghyuck muttered.

"are we going to play the mafia game or not?" chenle pouted, cuddled up next to jisung on the sofa.

"finally, jisung, your friends are useful for something," donghyuck exhaled. "chenle, you can write out all the parts on paper."

chenle skipped off to get some paper and a pen, and proceeded to frown hard at it as he tried to figure out how 'mafia' was spelt in korean.

"jisungie," he whispered, tugging jisung over by the arm, "help me!"

"what is it?" jisung crouched down next to the chinese boy and watched him struggle to spell.

"how do you spell mafia?"

"stupid zhong," jisung cackled at him. he wrapped his hand over chenle's to hold the pen, and wrote out 'mafia' for him.

"you're so annoying, pwark," chenle whined.

"oh, did you wanna write these yourself?" jisung teased, and chenle shook his head fervently. "didn't think so."

they eventually got the game started and handed out the pieces of paper randomly. donghyuck decided to be the narrator, and made a very dramatic job of announcing people's deaths. the game seemed to go on forever with donghyuck's lengthy monologues, and everyone became increasingly more on edge.

"do we have to play this anymore?" jeno suddenly burst out.

"why, are you tired?" donghyuck accused, feeling rather offended that jeno didn't want to finish his game.

"no, but renny just yawned."

renjun instantly stopped yawning. "no i didn't!" he insisted, giving jeno a slap, "carry on, hyuck."

"god, hyung, give up already," jisung complained, "i died on the first round anyway."

"no! we have to find out who the mafia is!" chenle argued, getting to his feet in protest.

"you're starting to look awfully suspicious," jisung remarked, shooting chenle a look.

"renny just yawned again."

"jeno!"

"fine!" donghyuck finally exploded, raising both hands to quieten them down, "we can end the game here, okay? we should probably go to bed, and jaemin was on his phone the whole time anyway."

jaemin glanced up guiltily, ears turning a bright red in the darkness of the room. "sorry, i-"

"it's fine," donghyuck interrupted, patting jaemin's arm lightly. "by the way, we're sleeping in here and using the downstairs bathroom, if anyone was wondering."
