Christina's Therapy, 1

 "Are you ready Christina?"

Christina's POV

I take a deep breath and nod. 

 "Ok. How are you doing today?"

 Fine. Today has been a little bit stressful but, other than that it was fine.

 I am so glad that this therapist understands sign language.

 "Why was today stressful?"

 I had a panic attack.

 "Why did you have a panic attack?"

 Dani... Dani made me panic. It wasn't completely her fault.

I try to save myself from breaking down and try to hide things. 

 "Well, what did Dani do to cause you to have a panic attack."

 She asked me why I couldn't speak.

 "Oh. Why did she ask that? Do you know?

 Dani was frustrated that we were teaching her sign language.

 "A lot of people would get frusrtated. What did Dani do especially to make you panic?"

 Dani asked me why I couldn't just talk. And why I had a throat but couldn't talk... It made me feel horrible because... Because... I'm sorry... I don't feel comfortable talking about this yet.

 "I see. It's ok. "

Is it though, is it? I don't know about you but I don't think that having a panic attack when someone asks you why you can't speak is ok. Unless she was talking about the fact that everything was Ok now. Yeah, that's all it was. You are over thinking this. Don't be the therapist. Be the patient.

 "You ok?"

 Yeah I'm fine. Just trying to get out of my therapist mode. 

 "Ahh I see. Yeah. It's hard to stop analyzing everything."

 Yup.

 "Ok. That's all for today. Can you get Katherine. It's her turn now."

I nod and get up off my chair, searching the room for Katherine. I don't see her and instantly become worried. I walk over to Amy and tap her on the shoulder, getting her attention. 

 "Yes mommy?"

Where's Ka- Mom?

"Oh. Mom said she was going to the bathroom."

 Thanks Amy.

 "Of course mommy!"

 I walk out the door to the woman's bathroom. When I walk in I hear the sound of puking in one of the stalls. 

When writing this I was listening to a medical thingy on youtube. It was adorable. 

That is why it took me so long to write this... Because I kept getting distracted.
