Chapter 7

Caleb's POV

I know Tobias hates me, I mean I do too. I could have saved her. I could've not let her go, I mean isn't the big brother suppose to protect the little sister? Well why didn't I? I will never be able to forgive myself and neither will Tobias. But why should he?

I could tell that he was having trouble living and thats why I came back to his apartment. That and she visited me, in a dream. I usually don't believe in spiritual things and messages in dreams but I knew it was Tris. She told me to take care of Tobias. She said she forgave me, it was her choice. I can't believe it though, I still don't and never will forgive myself.

I have been watching Tobias for 3 days now. I can tell he hates it but I have to stay because I promised her.

His daily routine usually consists of sleeping, eating, staring at the wall, and occasionally talking to me or his visitors. My daily routine is pretty much just watching him. But at night I usually sneak off to my home.

My home being a small apartment about seven minutes away from Tobias's and ten minutes away from Cara's who usually meets me there. Together we work on projects making different medicines for different purposes.

We usually keep to ourselves but occasionally we have small conversations.

"Tobais?"

"Yes?"

"What would you do if she was back? I mean she just came back?"

"It's never gonna happen, she can't come back she's dead Caleb."

"Yeah, I know. Just if she were to one day?

"It won't happen Caleb, just stop mentioning it."

I could tell he was getting angry so I just kept my mouth shut.

Later that night I was awake and about to leave as he was asleep and heard him mumble, "Hug her. Huge her and never let go."
