Chapter 3

Tobias POV

A wave of realization came over me. There is now no doubt in my mind that this isn't my Tris.

The tears won't stop coming now, they're streaming down my face like a waterfall.

My arms wrap around her and I move my lips down to meet hers.

"I've missed you Tris. I've missed you so so much," I whisper between the kisses were sharing.

I keep on hugging and kissing her. I've missed her so much. Her being here is like a dream come true to me.

"I love you Tris, I love you."

I wait for her reply saying that she loves me to but shes totally silent. I look up at her to see her staring blankly at me.

"Tris?"

I pull my hands away from her only to see them stained red with her blood as she crumples to the ground.

"Tris!" I call out urgently.

My feet seem to slip out from under me and I crumple to the ground beside her. I look down at her, my tears hitting her limp, lifeless body. I pick up her body and cradle her next to me.

"Tris. My Tris."

My eyes close and I start to sob silently, my body shaking.

And soon enough my eyes open again. Only this time I'm alone in the bed of my apartment. I sit up, the dream slowly fading away. And then I start to weep. My head hitting the pillow, my body shaking.

"Tris," I whisper her name and my eyes once again close as I try to shut out the pain.
