*Kadri's POV*
“I really don't think we should be out on our own!" I tried to explain to Maddy as we ventured into the forest.
It was very early in the morning, before mom or dad had even woken up.
“Come on Kadri," Embry assured me,” We're only going to be gone for a few minutes."
I tried to get over my fear of going outside without mom and dad's permission.
“What if someone catches us?" I asked Snook.
He was just as excited as Maddy to wander into the forest.
“No one will!" Snook reassured me.
Suddenly, I feel a glob hit the side of my flank, and hear Maddy laugh.
“Shh! It's not funny!" I barked.
"Don't get your fur in a bunch!" Snook laughed.
Maddy stopped and Snook bumped into her.
"It's here." She said.
We gathered around in a circle.
“What’s wrong Maddy?"
I asked my sister quietly. She stopped dead in her tracks, seeming to feel something, or even hear something too. Snook stepped up to Maddy, trying to understand what was wrong with our sister. Suddenly, I saw what Maddy most likely saw.
“Guys look!" I thrust my muzzle up to the air where I saw a shadowy, light grey wolf, who looked like Embry.
“I told you we shouldn't have come out!"
We started to spring back to our log, when suddenly Snook trips on a small rock.
“Do not be afraid little ones."
We hear a voice behind us. I turn and walk timidly towards it.
“Who are you?"
The shadowy figure starts to talk.
"Young ones. I have come to deliver this message to you."
It persuades us.
“My name is Autumn. And you have a prophecy to full fill."
I sit in front of the figure, next to Maddy, and suddenly have a renewed interest in what she is saying.
“You will full fill this prophecy throughout your life."
Maddy looks very excited, I do not see the happiness in this. It seems to be very odd.
"One seeks protection, two opposites must come together to offer it."
I was very confused. We do protect each other.
“Wait!"
I yell. Wanting her to explain what she means.
“What do you mean?"
She smiles and starts to fade.
"Wait! Don't go! What does it mean?"
I hear Maddy yell. Maddy stared blankly at the distance. Snook came up behind her and put his paw on her back, reassuring her that everything would be fine.
