DANIEL stuck close to Abagail the rest of the day. Caden had whisked away, to no doubt to makeout with Holly, while she hid from her boyfriend. But it was uncommon for her not to see Caden for two lunch breaks now. It made her bite her lip in slight fear. She hoped he was okay - she would no doubt miss him.

Everyone she walked past expected her to attack them in some way. Her and Caden walked these halls and picked fights. But Daniel beside her was a new sight for them. She could still smell his cherry scent - still wanted to taste it.

“So - how does this weekend sound?” He said out the blue, eyes on her as they sat far away from everyone. No one could see them from behind the tree.

“What?” She blurted, her eyebrow piercing raised as she stared at him.

“Our date gorgeous.” He smirked, reaching out and running his fingers up and down her forearm. She watched, lips parted slightly as he did so. The tingles and electricity raced through them both. She instead mind linked Caden - with difficulty.

"Where are you?” Her voice echoed through a void as she waited for him to reply. Lost in his long fingers as they gently trailed her arm.

"I’m playing ball - why?” He answered, distracting her from a very advancing Daniel. He was almost growing on her. Sometimes soulmates were just meant to be platonic - Abagail knew at least three. They were not meant to be romantically inclined - but they were two parts of a whole. Maybe that is what she and Daniel were meant to have.

“I found my mate.” She replied bluntly, staring into Daniels baby blue eyes as he inched closer. Their lips a hair breadth apart.

Her conversation with Caden was forgotten. Her warm breath tickling his lips as she stayed frozen. He wanted her so bad that his eyes were tearing up - his body shaking along with his breaths. As all he wanted to do was go that extra centimeter to kiss her. Maybe even use his tongue - something heated and lustful with her.

So he moved that extra centimeter.

But she stood up - away from him.

That made him angry - sad even. She was his birthright, his need. But her words made him boil in betrayl. "I think I love Caden."

She couldn't kiss him. Couldn't lead him on as all she thought about was Caden. She could hear her future Alpha approaching - catching her scent and making his way towards them.

"Daniel Harris." Caden spat darkly. "What are you doing here?" He asked, controlling his anger.

"Spending time with my mate." Daniel answered - this was the man who was stealing away his mate. Alpha of the North pack or not, Daniel did not want him near his Abagail. Caden's eyes widened.

"Come with me Abby." Caden ordered, Abagail instantly falling beside her Alpha.

"Bye Daniel." She whispered, watching him as he stayed seated on the ground. She guessed they were never going to see each other again.

"This weekend." Was all he muttered in reply - knowing she understood.
