"Y/n" the man yelled I curled in the corner of the attic that had been turned into my "room" which manly considered of an old run down mattress and a box as a table, and paper and pens which I saved money for secretly to send letters. Manly to Dan as he was the only one to send them me.

I didn't like to admit it but I enjoyed them he would tell me about his life and his family while I lied and said I was fine and my family was perfect. But that was far from the truth. They beat me for not being normal. From the note I got before Christmas I knew they weren't my parents and I just had to live with it.

"Y/n" the man says his arm in a brace.

"Get Down here and clean those dishes!" He screams spit escaping his mouth.

"O-okay" I feel so defenceless.

I weakly stood up as I was barley fed and over worked.

I slowly made my way through the house.

"Oi Y/N!" My "brother" yelled.

"Yes Peter?" I say softly, I would usually punch the person in the face if they talked to me like that but I was so useless around this family.

I finished the final dish barely being able to stand and I felt dizzy from dehydration.

I sigh and begin walking up the stairs again passing the horrible man and he smacked my arm.

"That'll probably leave a bruise..."

I pull down the ladder and climb up reaching my room.

I saw storm with a letter and I smiled.

I stroked storms fur and undid the letter with care.

Dear Y/n,

Hey so it's Christmas soon! That's exciting? Well I'm going to send you a Christmas present of you like it or not! And I hope we can talk more once we He back to Hogwarts, you always seem to ignore me. I hear Malfoy say that stuff about me. I hope you don't feel the same I just can't keep my eyes off of you.

Dan didn't have the best handwriting but I really liked it, I walked over to my desk and set out a peace of paper and a pen and began writing.

Dear Danny boy,

Wow it's that close? And I don't really celebrate Christmas but I hope you enjoy it and I'll try get you something! But I'm sorry you feel that way about Malfoy but no I don't mind and I'll have a talk with him. I'll try talking more but I'm a Slythin and you're a Gryffindor.
