The next morning I had potions with Malfoy and we had every lesson together today.

I was completely fine with it, he took my mind off Dan.

I sat down next to him and we waited for Snape.

It was Lunch and dan hasn't stopped looking at me apologetically.

I growled at him and he turned around.

I see a camera flash and a small kid called Colin.

'That's the name of Dans family dog'

I need to stop I tell myself mentally slapping myself.

"Post is here!"

One after another, the birds swoop gracefully down, clutching letters from home. All except one, who plops beak-first into Ron's soup. Errol.

I laugh to myself.

"Bloody bird's a menace -- Oh...no." I see Ron say and then he holds up a letter.

"Heads up, everyone. Weasley's gotten himself a Howler." Seamus says.

"Go on, Ron. I ignored one from my Gran once... and it was horrible." NEVILLE said.

Ron looks pale. Clutched in Errol's beak is the ENVELOPE. Hands shaking, he takes it, and opens it slowly,

Suddenly MRS. WEASLEY'S VOICE THUNDERS, sending plates and spoons rattling.

"RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK AND IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME!" Then suddenly her voice got softer,

"Oh, and Ginny dear. Congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud."

Ginny, sitting a bit apart from the others, looks up shyly, then returns to the SMALL BLACK BOOK she's scribbling in.

Ron watches the envelope RIP ITSELF TO PIECES, then endures HOWLS of LAUGHTER from the other House tables. Colin Creevey snaps a few photos. Harry looks sympathetically at Ron.

Me and Malfoy we're laughing so hard my face started hurting and we lent on each other to stop.

I saw dan from the corner of my eye stare at me .
