Me and Malfoy groaned all the way there he had the same amount of like towards the man as me.
I didn't understand why every girl was head over heels for him.
His stories seemed so fake.
We walked in and took our seats behind Potter,Weasley and...Howell. I saw him smile at hermione I got so jealous to see them two together or even just looking at each other in general, we haven't talked since the train incidence.
Gilderoy Lockhart paces before the class.
Hermione and the girls hang on his every word, which I didn't understand so me and Malfoy mocked them,
while Harry and Ron and Dan eyed the LARGE, COVERED CAGE RATTLING mysteriously on there desk.
Lockhart started talking but to be honest I would much rather him shut up.
"Let me introduce you to your new Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher. Me. Gilderoy Lockhart, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defence League and five times winner of Witch Weekly's Most-Charming-Smile Award -- But I don't talk about that. I didn't get rid of the Bandon Banshee by smiling at her!"
Lockhart awaits laughter. A few students smile weakly. Which made me snicker quietly.
"I see you've all bought a complete set of my books. Well done. I thought we'd start today with a little quiz. Nothing to worry about. Just to check how well you've read them, how much you've taken in..."
Lockhart begins to circulate papers. Harry, Ron and Dan examine the questions. Ron WHISPERS to Harry and Dan .
"Look at these questions. They're all about him."
"What is Gilderoy Lockhart's favourite colour?" Harry whispered.
"What is Gilderoy Lockhart's greatest achievement to date?" Dan whispered
"When is Gilderoy Lockhart's
birthday and what would his ideal gift be?" Ron whispered
"You have thirty minutes. Start --now!"
Me and Malfoy just stared at each other so confused and we sat back we honestly didn't care, yes I cared about my grades but with Lockhart I couldn't give two shits.
