Well the time had come and tomorrow we would all be heading off to University, we were all quite a distance away from home and the University's were in different parts of the country.
Our parents had got together and organised a party at one of the local restaurants for us as a farewell party. My mum and brother and me, Richard and his mum and dad and Annabelle and her mum, dad and her little sister, all gathered at the little restaurant and had a really good time, the food was amazing and everyone had enjoyed a drink or two, I certainly felt a bit woozy and I know Richard certainly was as his eyes were glazed and his speech a bit slurry, Annabelle was fine and our parents were happy but not drunk, It's not everyday that your children fly the roost they said.
We left the restaurant about 11 pm and went our separate ways to home, as we would have a long day tomorrow travelling. I had not been home long when I received a text from Richard, which I though a bit strange has we had only just been together all evening, He said that he was going to to really miss me and loved me as a brother, he had never said things like that to me before and I was confused and could only think that it was the drink talking, I told him that I regarded him as a brother too and would miss him as well.
I had that strange feeling inside me again like butterflies in my stomach, like the time he pulled his arm over me and pulled me into him when he was asleep. This again happened when he had been drinking.
I went to bed and was just dozing off, when ping I received another text, it was from Richard
Richard - I'm going to miss u
Me - I'm going to miss u 2
Richard - No I mean I'm really going to miss u
Me - What do you mean?
Richard - I mean I like you a lot
Me - As a best friend you mean?
Richard - No more than that
Me - Richard go sleep your Drunk, I'll speak to you tomorrow
I was really confused had my best friend since we were 11 have feelings for me, but he had Annabelle his girlfriend. or was it really the drink?
